I was thinking about Sega's old website (not old as in Genesis era, but old as in circa 2002) for some reason, and thought of a good article idea. On the aforementioned Sega site, there was a small section about their "older systems". If you looked at the page for each system, you'd find a brief write-up about the system, followed by something that looks like this:
Saturn Game Highlights
1995:
Virtua Fighter
Daytona USA
Panzer Dragoon
Bug!
Virtua Fighter 2
Sega Rally Championship
1996:
Guardian Heroes
NiGHTS: Into Dreams
Tomb Raider
Panzer Dragoon II Zwei
Bug Too!
Virtual On
Dragon Force
1997:
Fighters Megamix
Enemy Zero
Last Bronx
Saturn Bomberman
Sonic R
1998:
Panzer Dragoon Saga
Burning Rangers
Now. What if we took this lame, tacked-on game list idea and turned it into something interesting? Instead of listing, we could write lengthy articles on the noteworthy of Genesis games. And I say articles plural, because we could do a separate article for each year of the system's life. The resulting articles would each be a snapshot of the genny library, filled to the brim with nostalgia.
