Hello ladies and gentlemen. I was referred to this forum by a mister AlexKIDD on the AtariAge boards. Lemme introduce myself...

...I was given a Sega Genesis by my Aunt Paige, Christmas of '94. 'Twas a wonderful Christmas, and ever since, I've been obsessed with the Genesis. As you can tell by my name, I hate Nintendo.

The Game Gear came the Christmas after that, and I saved enough money to buy myself a Saturn somewhere between Second and Third grade. I bought a Dreamcast the day it came out: 9/9/99. I'm a bona fide Sega fanatic. Eventually, I learned about the Master System, and accquired one (along with an Atari 2600!) from a local game shop.

All the while, the Genesis has remained my favorite system of all time. I have around 110 different titles for the machine, spending more money, time, and love on it than any other.

The reason I'm posting here is to introduce an idea I have that you may enjoy. At AtariAge, we have a "High Score Club" for several of the systems. It's a great load of fun. How it works is: each week, a new game is chosen. Members play the game (either on the system or through emulation) and post their high scores. The people with the highest, second and third highest scores get points. The players are put in "standings", to see who is the best overall competitor.

However, AtariAge being a... ...well, an Atari website, the idea of a Genesis High Score Club didn't go over well. Which is why I've come here. If you fine people are interested, I'll gladly head up the High Score Club.

I hope you're interested. Happy Gaming.

Moved on over to Forum Feedback. :)

Welcome! Always nice to see another Genesis fan here.

I like that idea, and it would give our Record Breakers forum some much-needed traffic.

I split off NintendoDieScreaming's post with the rules and put it in the Record Breaker's forum and stickied it, so everyone can see what they need to do. We can start as early as tomorrow, and simply need someone to pick a game!

I hurl my vote towards Forgotten Worlds.
