So the other day, as is my wont, I was looking about archive.org (http://www.archive.org) for awesome music. Most of it is crap that's apparently supposed to be good because it's "experimental" and "consists entirely of sound effects."
But then I stumbled upon what might be the finest indie rock I've ever heard. (http://www.archive.org/details/USR-007)
Excellent instrumental work. Great vocals. Wonderful song structure. Playful lyrics about shoplifting and mad scientists and lesbians and student loans. !@#$ing amazing band. I've had this album on loop for two days.
This is stuff that anyone who likes music needs to check out.
