The Genesis has a lot of Compilation cartridges for it.
Sonic Jam was an all-right compilation, featuring Sonic 1, 2, and Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine. I already owned all of those, but got the cart nonetheless. Don't ask me why.
The Sega 6-Pak, however, is the greatest Compilation cartridge ever. Somehow they managed to pack Sonic 1, Streets Of Rage, Golden Axe, Super Hang-on, The Revenge Of Shinobi, and Columns all onto one cartridge. It was my first game, and I still love the hell out of it. Great, great, great cart. All the games featured I could play for hours (except Super Hang-on).
I have to agree. I haven't played any of the mega carts that came out in Europe, but the 6-pack is the best U.S. one there is.

Does the SOR and GA games have 2 player? I ask b/c as we all know, Sega stiffed us by not putting in 2 player capability in the SCD comp version of GA. I mean, why?

Both two players. These aren't emulated versions, remember, but just the same exact games put on one cart.

I have the CD compilation with the lame version of Golden Axe. I guess the 6-pak is better.

6-pak hands down. When I started buying Genny carts again in 00/01 that was one of the first ones I got as it was cheap and easy to find. :)

Classic Compilation 4-in-1. It's got Gunstar Heroes, Altered Beast, Alex Kidd in the Enchanted Castle and Flicky on one cartridge. It's not much, all things considered (take a look at the Japanese-only release Mega 10 In 1!), but I've found it's great for introducing non-gaming friends to a few of the Mega Drive's greatest games. It's good to pick-up-and-play, too.

People heap scorn on those who own the 6-Pak instead of the individual games, but I like it.

Even though I have most all of the games I like on the six pack, I still have the cart just in case. :)
Too bad it has the edited version of Revenge of Shinobi on it.
