View Full Version : Reliable Genesis Modders?

Hello, all!

I was wondering what is the best place to find someone that does
S-Video modifications for the Genesis. Specifically, the CDX. I've
seen electr0chip from these forums used to make those custom boxes,
but I haven't had any luck contacting him. Also, it seems like the
site for Multimods (http://www.multimods.com) is either on hiatus or
is MIA.

I am trying to avoid DIY modding at all costs, as I am almost positive
that I will destroy my system. Are there any trustworthy sellers that
you guys can recommend that would be interested? Thank you guys for
any help!!

Avoid electr0chip.

He still owes people money under his previous MO "sonofx51". He currently owes over $500 to a few members on the Neo Geo forums.

Lastcallhall and ooxXxoo do some pretty good work, they can probably mod your CDX system.

I do not have enough experience to risk doing mods as a service, so check out those other two guys.

While I appreciate the compliment, I'm not touching a CDX. :) I can make you an s-video box, though. Since I've never seen one in person: is the A/V out the same as a model 2 (9-pin mini-DIN)?

that thread, too. So glad I didn't get caught up in that!!

Wow, that was fast! Yes, the output is the exactly the same as a Model
2 Genesis. Also, a box would be ideal!!!!! I would much rather prefer
that over modding the system itself. Wow. Sega-16 members are really
helpful!!!!!!!! Thank you guys so much!!

I can make S-video boxes too, but I´m designing the circuitry atm.

You shouldn't really advertise something if it's not available yet... As I suggested before, selling a few in dedicated threads is a good idea. Build up a rep, then start doing it as a service.

I do pretty decent solder work, but you don't see me being pompous. :p
