I agree with Uri about hating FMV games, and how Cobra Command and Road Avenger break the mold.

It'll probably be fixed later.
And, all I can say is "Damn, i've had to many baseball submissions lately."

I can't believe I forgot the 56 character password. Then again, the game gave me plenty else to complain about.

I used to think that Kings' Bounty might be fun on a ROM, because then you wouldn't have the password... Then I realized it was a horrid game in general.

I actually played all the way through King's Bounty on the system using the password saves. Everything you said is absolutely true. The overworld music is especially grinding and atrocious. Despite that, I thought it was okay for what it was. The higher-level gameplay was more fun when you had a herd of dragons, knights, and archmages together. I enjoyed the exploration of discovering new worlds. At least it didn't have random battles. Were there better games in the genre for the system? Absolutely. Is it worth going back to play now? Probably not. It's also worth mentioning that it is essentially the first game in the Heroes of Might and Magic series.

Shoot! I must have uploaded the version on my (fixed) laptop. The other one's on my PC.
I'll fix that ASAP.

Perhaps I was harsh. But that doesn't change the fact that I, as mainly an RPG player, was apalled by King's Bounty. I've played other RPG's made around the same time that were much, much better.

It's been years, but I really enjoyed King's Bounty. The negative review makes me want to revisit it. I know the site in general isn't too kind on The Faerie Tale Adventure either, so maybe it's a case of just not experiencing it in the right time frame and mindset (such as being able to tolerate Dragon Warrior now despite it being a fair game during its day)?

Despite what you may think I first played King's Bounty back in the early 90's and I didn't like it a bit.

I understand your perspective and I respect it. I just thought I'd share my thoughts.

Super Monaco GP (made by Sega themselves) has a 64-character password. So King's Bounty sucks compared to Super Monaco GP.
