Mega-CD 2 disc door trouble.

My model 2's door is oddly sprung. While it's closed, there's a small (3mm?) amount of 'give' if you push down the right-hand edge of the door while it's shut. The left is rock-solid, though. This means that a slight knock or tap - or even the disc spinning up unexpectedly - makes it shit itself and panic, thinking the door's been opened.

Besides leaving a heavy book or something on the door every time I want to play a game, is there a way of fixing this?

you'll have to take it apart, and check the springs.. it sounds like a spring came loose, or has gotten worn out..

UPDATE - I've partially fixed the problem. It seems there's a triangularish-shaped piece of plastic on the door that presses against a small plastic stick on the motherboard - if there's contact, the door is closed. To fix it I've attached a blob of Blu-Tack to the drive door thing, so there's more chance of proper contact between drive door and motherboard.
