I can't beat this crazy boss, at all! I have been trying to beat it for the past two hours, is there any tricks I should know about?

It seems like it cheats, a LOT..

EDIT: It seems I didn't type in the name of the game.. It's Sonic CD..

Stolen from some guy at GameFAQs:

------------------------------------------------------------------
STARDUST SPEEDWAY: Metal Sonic
------------------------------------------------------------------
DIFFICULTY: Medium-Hard.
WHAT TO DO: This race is hard your first time through. Keep jumping over the
spikes, and do NOT fall back or you will DIE, PAINFULLY. Metal Sonic is very
cheap, and will charge up for a dash attack that makes him invincible. Keep
running and jumping, and make sure you get to the finish line first. This is
a long race. Don't forget to jump and hit Amy to free her, so she can adore
you.
GOOD FUTURE/BAD FUTURE: It seems to be a lot bumpier in Bad Future. Be ready.

crap, and I got the bad-future one, I couldn't find those "devices" to destroy in the past..

argh!! I might just resort to level-select cheat code..

Get all chaos stones instead. Just reset the game if you fail and try again.

will it work? remember, the game saves into the Sega CDs internal memory..

I notice that robotnik moves a bit quicker in the jap version, or is it just me.

But anyways...i think the boss is quite easy, i beat him everytime.

I think the game saves only when you enter a level after defeating Dr. Robotnik, which you never do when failing to get a chaos stone.

Just keep your finger poised over the jump buttons and keep a watchful eye for Metal Sonic. Reflexes are everything here.
