This morning i bought a Complete system including the mega drive and mega cd.
Everything works , except the mega cd :-(
I works , shows the screen , it knows when the door is open and closed , the lens on the laser goes up and down , but it does not turns the cd ....
Nor audio (Original , nor copies) , nor game cd-ies....
The red light (Access) blinks...
What is the issue?
P.S. Sorry for my bad english

Can you manually rotate the spindle? If you press your ear to the CD door, can you hear a humming, as if it's trying?
If you hear no humming, take apart the Sega CD, and depending on your model, try the following:
Sega CD 2 Revision 1 (multiple wires coming from the CD assembly): Reseat all cables...
Sega CD 2 Revision 2 (Single ribbon coming from the CD assembly): Reseat the ribbon, AND "rotate".. Make sure the contact side of the ribbon DOES touch the contacts of the connector.. If you're not too sure of this, DON'T do it...

Did that....
No luck....
The point is that the electro motor of a laser move (I move it up the back , and vhen i press the switch for the case door , the laser goes back ...
I have no idea what`s the problem...
What could i expected from a flea market at a cost of 5 €...

what about the spindle? the part the disc actually sits on? can you manually turn it? and if you spin it, will it spin itself for half a second (or even a whole second)? it should "glide" like it's "almost" on air..

That part doesn`t spindle when it should :D
But when I try it to rotate , it does "glide"...
I thought that it could be stuck , but it moves when i try it...But it doesn`t when it should (In example , when i close the cd door...

check the wiring to the motor..
either the wire is loose, or the motor is fried..

Tried both...
The motor works .... tried id with 9v dc , works...
Tried the cable...nothing
Must be the glich on the PCB somewhere :-(

Now i noticed that there is something similar to a "chip mod psx" on this board...
2 cm from the batery , there is a little PCB with two ICs and four wires that are soldered on the motherboard...
Is this serial or?
