Stieg Hedlund is among the elite among PC developers, having developed the hugely popular Diablo II and Starcraft. He also spent a few years at the Sega Technical Institute, where he worked on games like Comix Zone. We recently had a chance to chat with him, and he had a lot of interesting things to say about everything from a Comix Zone sequel to the story behind the highly underrated Ooze. Read the full interview (http://www.sega-16.com/2006/12/interview-stieg-hedlund/) for more information.

“embodied everything that was wrong with American culture"

Hahaha. I want to buy this guy a beer.

Scratch that, put him in a flat with Mr Hedlund, and film the wacky shenanigans they get up to. No-one's done an 'Odd Couple' show in a while, right?

Great interview.

edit: seriously I can't stop laughing at the quote

Great interview. As soon as I get off of work I'm going to play some Comix Zone :)

That was indeed a cool interview. I don't think I've ever played The Ooze (I thought it was a licensed game like Swamp Thing or something).

I never played The Ooze; I almost rented it once by accident when it was sitting behind a case for Vectorman 2 at my local Blockbuster. Still, Comix Zone is worth praising.

This was a great read as I love most of the games mentioned, and thanks for that Xtreme link at the end.
The Ooze is pretty interesting though the control feels limited and it kinda sucks being a puddle of goo all the time.
