Ok, Ive been using sega-16 for all my sega problems. Here's another one. I have a problem with my 32x. When I turn it on, there's a weird...fizzing...noise like soda coming from the cartridge port. Also, there's some strong video interference that isnt present when using cd and gen. games.is my 32x busted? Note that I am not using the sheild plates.

Thanks in Advance,

Blades

no-shielding plates wouldn't do that...

sounds like the 32X don't work... make sure you're using the RIGHT power supply though...

The 32x games work fine as far as I can tell. The power supply is right (10v .85amps). Its not really a problem, just wondering about the fizzing noise. The interference is probably from the cheapo cable I use. So is it a risk or something?

Thanks,
Blades

if the CD and Gen work fine, it's not the cable.. Generally, if the cable is thicker than your computer mouse cable, your fine...

but this fizzling sound, in the cartridge port, that doesn't sound right...

That noise happened to me once. I fixed the problem by returning it to the store. All the games worked okay though. So, yeah... abnormally normal, I guess.

i second 32x makes this same noise when turned on and has started to freeze after the black screen with the white text ( made by sega or whatever ) most of the time.
I think this 32x is dieing but maybe some one here may be able to tell me how to fix it.

evildragon do you have any idea what may cause the buzzing from reading around the site i have noticed you seem to know alot about the internal workings of the sega systems.
