While doing some cleaning, I just noticed that my Sega CDX says on the back that it is rated 9.5V/1.5A. However, the power supply that it came with when I bought it was a standard Model 2 power supply (Sega MK-2103), which is 10V/0.85A.
I was going to give my CDX away as a gift. I've never had any problems with it, but I guess I haven't played it that much. Is the difference in amperage a cause for concern? Like, could it cause problems down the road?
I have noticed that my X'Eye power supply (JVC-branded) matches the CDX specifications. So, if necessary, I could give that power supply with it, but I'd rather not.
