Why? Because I can. And because this has been the first year i've made going to the movies a regular thing, which is something i've been wanting to do for ever. So, here we go:
The Ringer: Out of nowhere came a Johhny Knoxville movie about the special olympics, and the world wondered when Special Intrest Groups would try to sue Knoxville, and the studio producing the film. But when you actually watch it, it's not THAT offensive! It manages to be funny by it's self with out relying on total retard jokes. The special Olympics committe even gave the movie an offcial BLESSING! It's a funny movie and it even shows that Knoxville isn't a horible actor. His Jackass days tarnish what talent he really has.
Quote: "When the FUCK did we get ice cream?"
Ice Age 2: Wow, that was boring. The movie has it's moments, but it just doesn't work, and doesn't come close to touching the original charm of the first one.
The Producers: I still love this movie, and you just can't beat seeing it in a theatre with a group. It's just a great movie even with its slow moments. It's unfortunate how it was pretty much ignored at the Oscars and at the box office.
Date Movie: Pure Shit
Big Momma's House Two: Not funny. Not well acted. Waste of my time and money.
The Pink Panther: Funnier that I thought it would be. Well done all around, even if it pales in comparrison to the original.
Stick It!: Alot better than the trailers made it seem. You can tell a real effort was made to make the movie work. Even though it switchs a bit suddenly to a complaint against gymnatstics judging, it still ends up as an okay movie.
Nacho Libre: Funny as hell, especially for a Nickeloden movie. It's not winning any awards, but for wrestling fans it's pretty good and working real matchs instead of just "Top Rope Jump! Punch! Throw out of ring! 10 Count like boxing except it's supposed to be wrestling". Even Jack Black does a fine job, even though around the end he goes into total Tenacious D mode and goes nuts, then suddenly stops and apologizes and goes back in character. Watch it.
Quote: "Here, take my mothers lucky machette"
Pirates 2: Awesome and long. But not too long. Great jobs all around and I can't wait for Memorial Day next year.
Click!: Holy crap, Adam Sandler can act! I knew it was possible already form Punch Drunk Love, but he shows it again here. The movie is funny for the first part, then the rest gets a bit serious, and preachy, which almost kills off the first half. It's still a good movie though.
Little Miss Sunshine: Genius
Talladega Nights: Another awesome Apatow movie. You're pretty much laughing the whole time, and you can tell that everyone had a great time while making the move, which just makes it even better. See this now if you haven't already.
Quote: I don't know what to get Nan for her birth day, she's 88.
How about a coffin?
Casino Royale: Go into this movie and remeber this is Bond starting out ,so he's not going to be the total sophisticated Bond we all know. He's sorta whiny actually, and doesn't actually say the "Shaken...Not Stirred" line. It's still got classic elements, but it's its own movie.
Quote: Shaken or stirred sir?
Does it look like it fucking matters?!
Dreamgirls: Amazing musical, along with great acting for the most part. And it's got Urkel being a total douche, which can only help it. Jennifer Hudson steals the show along with Eddie Murphy. Beyonce was good, but her Oscar buzz is a tad undeserved. Still worth the price of admission.
That's about it. I got lazy in the middle, did you notice? :P
