There's far too much technical talk on this board and, since I do not understand technology, did Ecco the Dolphin used to scare anybody here when they were young? There is a 42 page topic on GameFAQ's (http://boards.gamefaqs.com/gfaqs/genmessage.php?board=563323&topic=15945682) with folk sharing there childhood nightmares that Ecco enduced. Just wondering if anybody here had similar problems.

I never had any nightmares of it when I was little, but that "Welcome to the Machine" level could give me some if I'm forced to play it and here its depressing music again.

Look, we rented Ecco once, OK? Everyone always tries out the level passwords scribbled in the back of the manual when you've only a couple of hours left to take it back to Blockbuster.

I probably would've if I had bought it when I was young, but I only played it once in a toy store and didn't know what to make of it..

My first memories of Ecco are of my cousin playing the Sega CD version when I was six or so. Watching him play through the last few levels did indeed give me a couple nightmares at the time. I can't remember any specific ones, but I remember having them.

Of course, when I got a bit older and got the game for myself, the nightmares stopped.
