Hi all,

I noticed that on my model 2 Genesis that the video quality from the composite video (yellow video) seems a bit strange. It looks like it has vertical "striping" or lines. You can't really tell on a still image, but when there's a moving or panning image, it's really noticable. It's most noticable on something blue or green. I don't have an RF connection for this unit, so I can't test it. Do all the model 2's have this kind of video from the composite output, or am I just unlucky?

Thanks!

I have the same problem on my model 2. Very noticable on black (like the "Sonic Team Presents" screen on the Sonic games). I had the Genny hooked to the TV through a multi-input selector, so I thought that was the problem and hooked it directly up to the TV, but the problem persisted. Unfortunately the problem remained, so I don't know what's causing it or how to get rid of it.

For what it's worth, the lines are not present on an RF connection (but the sound through RF sucks, so that's not an option).

Um, the lines MUST be there on an RF connection...

The model 2 RF modulator takes the Composite video signal.. So it's there, just not as noticeable...

Perhaps they are there over RF, but I sure can't see them. *shrug* Any ideas what causes the lines?

I remember seeing a fix over on the GamesX forum.. Take a shot there: http://nfggames.com/forum/index.php?act=idx
