View Full Version : Genesis reproductions?

I know that reproductions, of various sorts (homebrew games, dumped prototypes/betas, fan translations) are pretty easily available for NES and Atari, and I've also seen them for Coleco and Intellivision, and I've seen talk of SMS ones on a particular forum (and they're making them), and I've seen one for SNES.

Now, I'm sure there's no technical reason why you couldn't swap out the ROM of an old Genesis cart, and obviously they can also be manufactured (ie Beggar Prince). But, aside from Beggar Prince, are there people actually making Genesis reproductions? I would like to send some guy 25 bucks to put a translated Monster World IV ROM on an old Genesis cart and put a new label on it, so I can live in pretend world and play it on my Genesis. I would also like people to sell Genesis games that didn't quite come out back in the day, much like what Atari Age does.

Simple... there's no demand, despite an active fanbase. I think if there where more translations, and unreleased games that where good, we'd surely see some.

I wish there were some people who did this, too. :(

I'd buy the original Monster World IV and then do the same thing as j_factor as well, it would kick ass to play it translated on my TV.

For me the game of desire would be Langrisser 2.

I will probably agree to that after I've bought and finished Warsong.
