View Full Version : The Terminator (Sega CD)
Virgin Games produced some quality licensed software during the 16-bit era, and it complimented hits like Aladdin and The Lion King with a great version of James Cameron's masterpiece The Terminator. As Kyle Reese, players battle through both the present and the future in their quest to save the innocent Sara Conner from the evil cyborg out to kill her. Sega CD owners got treated to a stellar Tommy Tallarico (http://www.sega-16.com/feature_page.php?id=241&title=Interview:%20Tommy%20Tallarico) soundtrack, extra levels, and all around solid gameplay. Read our full review (http://www.sega-16.com/review_page.php?id=1218&title=Terminator) and see why there is no future but what we make.

But if someone asks you if you're a god, then you say YES!
At any rate, I really wish I'd have gotten to play this one instead of any of the SNES Terminator games. This sounds...you know, fun.

yeah, this game actually is pretty fun. I really encourage Sega CD players to try and find a copy of this game, as it is worth tracking down.

I almost bought it a couple months ago, but, the case was so beat up and covered in duct tape.:|
Just the plastic case? You could have gotten a sports game and swapped them out!

It's probably still there. It's a small Mom N' Pop store in Indianapolis and I'm the only person that really buys Sega CD stuff there. Last time they sold me seven Sega CD games for $30(Sonic CD, Ecco the Dolphin, Tides of Time, Eternal Champions, Mickey Mania, some compilation disk, and Sherlock Holmes/Clue) cause they were trying to get rid of them.

I've owned this game for a long time yet I never really gave it a chance since it was a licensed movie game. Played through it yesterday and got through it on one continue my first shot. I found it to be pretty average in the gameplay department. The stages were interesting and detailed, but at times it was difficult to figure out where to go next. What really made me enjoy this game to completion was the fantastic soundtrack. I was not expecting high quality 80's style rock with some synth elements.

Yeah, this is one of the games I like to recommend to folks just getting into SegaCD since it's normally overlooked, not too pricy, and one of the more overlooked yet good games for the system.
