I found a set in the attic, yes such a thing exists. I knew about them for a while, but I just remember they where in the attic, so I decided to test them. So, I get audio, But the volume is VERY low... no matter what I use them with. I've tried them with my S-video switch box, TV, or even my Genesis 1. I turned my volume up all the way up, yes, but I could barely hear a damn thing.
So, how do I get the volume up?

How do you connect them?
If the speakers don't have power connectors and a volume control, they probably don't have amplifiers build in either, and the RCA connectors (phono) is just a bad call from some stupid engineer. Therefore you still need to connect them to an external amplifier.
The signal from a phono device is very, very weak and it can not drive a speaker without the aid of an amplifier.

Oh, so that's why. Thanks!
My dad said they where good speakers -- I think he had some old stereo system or something.
