We've only 7 32X reviews! Anyone willing to add some? I've been thinking of reviewing Shadow Squadron, but all others are welcome.

C'mon, someone has to have some 32X games they'd like to review!

These are the games left to review, 19 in total:

Corpse Killer (CD)
Darxide
Fahrenheit
FIFA Soccer '96
Golf Magazine: 36 Holes Starring Fred Couples
Midnight Raiders
NFL Quarterback Club '95
Night Trap
Pitfall: The Mayan Adventure
Primal Rage
R.B.I. Baseball '95
San Goku Shi IV
Slam City
Spider-Man: Web of Fire
Surgical Strike
T-Mek
World Series Baseball '95
WWF Raw
WWF Wrestlemania

It would be really cool if this site had reviews for all 32X games, and I'd really like to contribute to that. But all my 32X games are already reviewed and I don't really know which of those mentioned above I should get :?.

Hey, I will take 36 Great Holes. Golf is just out of season, so I was going to wait until Masters time to get it out.

Sports Guy if you beat me to 36 Great Holes then go ahead, if not then I'll review it when I get to it (hopefully soon).

There aren't as many games left to review now and the list is growing smaller so it would be nice to see some more people jump in and fill in the library.

Here's whats left

Amazing Spider-Man: Web of Fire
Darxide
Fahrenheit
FIFA Soccer '96
Golf Magazine Presents: 36 Great Holes Starring Fred Couples
Midnight Raiders
Primal Rage
R.B.I. Baseball '95
San Goku Shi IV
Slam City With Scotty Pippen
Surgical Strike
T-Mek
World Series Baseball '95
WWF Wrestlemania

C'mon, someone jump aboard, that's only 16 left now. I'm going to take one for the team and knock out Supreme Warrior but there's more too so have at it.

Well I'm not a big fan of sports, fighting or fmv games... none of those titles sound very interesting to me, save the Spider-Man one.

I was kidding, but yeah, I just haven't had a very good experience with the 32X. Nearly every game that I have played for it ended up being a complete pile, and I didn't see any recognizable titles in the list above so I just assumed :)

Problem is it's such a rare game in cart form. I rather it's reviewed based on the cart and not the emulated version.

I saw 36 Great Holes of Golf Starring Fred Couples at the local used game store today. I thought of this thread. Didn't grab it though, for reasons already discussed.

Chilly Willy
03-29-2009, 05:28 AM
I've got most of the 32X games on cart, but not all as some are very rare (like Darxide). However, I do have a flash cart, so I could still run most of the ones I don't have. For example, to run Darxide on a US Genesis Model 2 + 32X, all you have to do is change the Asian flag in the header to US and it runs fine burned to the flash cart. Is it okay if I do some reviews that way? Do reviewers provide screenshots or does whoever puts this in the reviews section? I suppose screenshots are done from an emulator for ease and clarity? While I could take pictures of Darxide running on my 32X, it's PHOTOS of the TV, so they wouldn't be very good.

vintagegamecrazy
03-30-2009, 10:04 PM
You can most definitely use a flash cart. Melf takes photos so don't worry about that, you'd be the best if you reviewed the rare 32X games. Go for it!!

Melf
03-30-2009, 10:38 PM
Yeah, I use emulators for screen shots because I don't have a capture card, and it's much easier to get good shots for me. Just concentrate on the review itself.

I have 25 games for mine, and it appears a lot of my big favorites have already been covered (Kolibri was my overall favorite), though I do have Spider Man: Web of Fire and T-Mek as possible contributions. I could even contribute RBI Baseball and Primal Rage, but the latter may not be important enough to review (it's a polished Genesis version).

Of course, this would require me to get off my Sega Saturn binge and hook back in the ol' Sega Genesis for some kickin' old-school times! :D

Holy shitballs Batman. Glad I took the offer.

As for the game, it really doesn't feel like much of a step up from the first game on the Genesis. It has a few perks, and it's still a good game of baseball overall, but it's not much of an improvement over the Genesis version.

The be honest, WSB '95 on the Genesis was a better baseball game (it must have been, since Sega re-released it two more times with '96 and '98 ).

I appreciate the heads-up on this, I liked the Genesis titles, so I guess it really isn't much of a step up which makes sense. I'd like to pick up the Saturn WSB games at some point. :)

The most I've paid for a 32X game thus far was either Spider Man: Web of Fire or Blackthorne (both were around $35).

As for Sega CD...Keio Flying Squadron for $135 XD

Believe me, I knew I was lucky when I bought it. On the Amazon Marketplace I spotted a cartridge for $30 (plus shipping) and snapped it up with the utmost urgency sometime last year. It's not a bad game actually, though the Sega CD Spiderman was probably more fun if I had to compare the two.

LMAO, I promised I'd review a game or two on this very thread..........more than a year or so ago!!! Procrastination is the thief of time.........

Seeing as I'm still on vacation until the end of August, I may or may not be down to take on Primal Rage and Wrestlemania. I dunno though, I'm not too confident in my writing abilities. I'm really impressed by the way some of the reviewers express themselves in ones I've read (liek Baloo for example). I'll think about it, I'm familiar with the different versions of both games.

I'm really impressed by the way some of the reviewers express themselves in ones I've read (liek Baloo for example). I'll think about it, I'm familiar with the different versions of both games.

Above post, dated from mid-July 2009.............*sigh* :(

Alright, as of today, I have three weeks before I start my Junior year of college. For the LAST time, and after almost 3 years in development hell, I declare my intent to tackle WrestleMania Arcade and/or Primal Rage before the end of this month!!! :D

I've played both games quite a bit, especially WrestleMania. I also used to be the owner of a shrink-wrapped, NEW copy of "Primal Rage" 32X (with $64.99 price tag still on the back), which is now a treasured part of a fellow Sega-16'er's 32X collection (and the bane of Guntz's existence, w/ith the sunfading and all).

If at least one review hasn't been submitted to Sega-16 by the end of August 31st, I'll take a voluntary one-month leave from Sega-16!!! Yes, self-punishment, for procrastinating too much. Knocking out a review would honestly be a HUGE personal victory against my lifelong struggle with this illness. Hey, at least since that last post I've sharpened my writing skills by contributing to several Roundtable entries. :p

Readers and Contributors we still need 32X reviews badly! We are only five games away from a complete 32X review archive. If anyone of you own any games that haven't been reviewed yet then please step forward and help us out.

Here's what's left to be covered

Fifa Soccer '96 - A European exclusive soccer game, I know there are a lot of you from Europe here, soccer is huge there so this should be easy to get reviewed.

Primal Rage - This one is rarer but should still be easy to play and write about.

Romance of the Three Kingdoms IV - The only Japanese exclusive, this may be hard to cover due to it having a language barrier and being a strategy game. Can anyone be the ultimate stop Gap?

Slam City With Scottie Pippen - A common but bad FMV title. I've tried my hand at it but can't get anywhere with it.

World Series Baseball Starring Deion Sanders. A Baseball game that should also be easy to cover.

If anyone of you can help out here then chime in here and volunteer. You'll have our eternal gratitude.
