View Full Version : Reader Roundtable Vol. 14
It's that time again! Once a month, Segaphiles gather to tell us what they're playing, and each installment usually features an interesting blend of fan favorites, lesser-known gems, imports, and even some duds. January is no different, and eleven of our staff and readers are ready to share their games! Read the latest entry (http://www.sega-16.com/2007/01/reader-roundtable-vol-14/) in our popular Reader Roundtable feature and see what your fellow Genesis fans are playing!

Funny, I have Beyond Oasis and Legend of Oasis, but I've yet to actually play them more than a few hours (Legend of Oasis anyway... Beyond, I've only put a half-hour in)
Odd, right as you where putting this up, I was playing Sonic 2 again, because I was messing around my TV, and it makes a good reference test. :)

I played Beyond Oasis after The Legend of Oasis and was let down mainly because the Saturn game really feels like a remake, so the 16-bit one felt pointless to play through. Still an enjoyable game, but it had that "been there done that" feel to it.
I could never get into Alisia Dragoon. I consider it one of the releases during those dark times shortly after the SFII SNES exclusivity release when all Genesis players had to look forward to were lesser titles such as it and Tazmania.

Does anyone else chuckle a bit when they read the name "gleylancer" ?
I have always read it as "greylancer" and as if the title was a result of blatent use of engrish.

Everyone's loving some Beyond Oasis!
And Zebbe, tell us again why you don't do more reviews? That was actually pretty good!

Thanks! Actually, that contribution was a bit longer, more like a review. But Melf knows how to cut it down properly, as usual :p. I have sent my third review to Melf for inspection about two weeks ago. Still waiting for a reply. ;)
There are approximately five types of budgie in the entire game and the colour gives you an insight as to the personality of the bird – for example, the blue ones are annoying, the purple ones are more annoying and the red ones are hatefully annoying - if only H5N1 could infect the island
HAHAHA! :D Thanks for the laugh of the day.

I could have sworn I sent it back to you. Sorry about that. I'll email it out to you tonight.

Nice selection this month. It was awesome to see Ghostbusters on the list (and I'm sure Flash will agree with me on that).

Cool stuff. Fun to read. Wish I would have seen that in time. I had a great Genesis story this month.

I've probably had some of the more odd games chosen for the Roundtables.

Actually, I am sure I haven't got a reply about my review either. :|
I'm still working on it! Expect it this weekend. :)
