My SCART issues are almost over.
I got a Mega Drive 1 RGB SCART cable from Chaoticjelly, reccomend BTW... great guy! and I can tell you, when I play via the Genesis 1 in RGB, everything looks damned fine. I'm going to buy a Mega Drive 2 cable from him at some point. I know I should have bought a Model 2 cable in the first place, but I didn't really know what I was getting into -- I didn't want a second bum MD2 SCART cable.
Furthermore, I know about the 32X conversion cable, and I may actually do that -- saves me from unplugging cables, and for the forseeable future, I only care about my Genesis systems in SCART. The Saturn can wait, as S-video looks good enough for now.
The "banding" issues I had, the XTREME brightness that made me almost go blind, and shaky image are sometimes all gone. The Transcoder is FINE, no complaints there, except getting it out of the case to mod is going to be tough.
