Original version of Decap Attack

I'm trying to find out what the original title was called... Magical Turbo Hat Adventure is just a loose translation, I need the original japanese title. I know I played the ROM some years ago, it was a helluva lot better than the horrid americanization.

That isn't the actual title, at least it's not the name of the ROM. It's in japanese, not english.

why dont you buy the original game it costs just 10 -20 $ and it's more fun to play sega games on the genesis...

Laws on ROM downloading are a bit unclear. Since it's virtually impossible to enforce laws prohibiting illegal downloading, only the large ROM distribution sites get negative attention, and that's generally from the owners of the game rights who ask the sites to take down all applicable ROMs.

..but ehh, as for the laws of this site, I'm not entirely sure what Melf's views on giving direct links to ROMS are. I'd recommend that you take down that link just to be careful, danielsheil.

I must not download them... i have the orginals with case's and manual's

i must have a game complete to find fun on it

Than the whole internet is one copyright violation and i see nobdy doing something about that,nobody is scrapping the internet if they did,i couldnt post this right.BTW almost everybody knows people download over the 100 mb and even games like unreal counterstrike piankiller etc,they first stop them before going to nag about tiny dated roms(still awesome).

Lots of illegal stuff (ROMS, child pornography, etc) are on the internet. Once they get caught, down they go. In many instances, it doesn't even have to be the FBI or police. Konami cracked down on sites that had the Rond of Blood ISO a few years back, and basically coerced them into taking it down.

Still i aint aggainst roms,sure i test games,or at least did but it stays illegal(is agree with melf a bit),But then the temptaion to download is pushed by making some games so freaking expensive.I buy everything origenal but some games i have to admit i tested on rom,at my friends place about 5 years ago,Now i know what megadrive games to buy.I have a coleection of 64 consoles,not sure and 130 games for the megadrive,and 10 for mega cd and a few for 32x.I get use to all the snagging about that im wrong,a friend of mine tells me everything about megadrive etc,he learnd allot about it ,technical specifications etc and then he always is explaining to me why gennise ruled the snes,Which i first tought the opossit was snes first than MD in technical specs but that aint true.

Not even close. Decapattack destroys Magical Hats. First of all Decapattack has a cool Halloween theme. Magical Hats is a one hit wonder. One hit and you die. Decapattack has FAR better music than Magical Hats. The music in MH is based on the same soundset used in Whip Rush. I think Decapattack's sound set is (mostly) unique.

I have a lot more fun with Decapattack.

Graphics are of about the same quality actually. If anything Magical Hats is a bit more plain, but brighter. Decapattack is darker due to its theme. Don't make me post screenshots!

thats what i sead,but the game camne out in 92 and couldnt do better graphics,it probably couldt but didnt have to since its just a simple and fun piece of software.Mario didnt look that great either,its about how the game is overall and i think very fun,graphics isnt the importantst first gameplay and funfactor then the graphics are a gift that can be worse are oke or damn good.BTW which version is the best i want to buy this game,hope its decap that one isnt hard to find. ;)

I like Decapattack better than Halo 2. I have much more fun with it. Therefore it is my opinion that Decapattack is a better game than Halo 2.

I wouldn't fall into the trap of simply dismissing Westernised releases. You have to understand the gaming climate at the time - the curse of anime had yet to impact Western culture. I mean, compare the kickin' Japanese boxarts to what was released in the West - take Kid Chameleon as an example:

Games companies were simply playing to what consumers knew at the time - who wanted faggy cartoony boxes, when you could have Kid '90s pouting at you in his denim and leather?

Same goes for Mean Bean Machine. It's safe, it's hot on the mind of ten-year olds, it's based on a cartoon series. The Japanese version is firing blobs at other blobs, no Sonic whatsoever. Bo-o-o-ring.

Both are good games, just flavoured with what different cultures enjoyed. Interestingly, almost the reverse is happening now.

Oh yeah, and Psycho Fox is great when played on the move via a Game Gear.

I am Asian, grew up watching anime on TV and so will always prefer the Japanese originals to the Westernized versions. Plus, I do prefer the anime look overall. It is not a "curse" and I do not see anime as "faggy."
