I got one of these earlier this week, and it rocks! I just got done playing some Robocop VS Terminator, and it held up pretty good.

Does anyone else own one, and think it's pretty awesome? I do wonder why they put a 3 button/6 button switch on the stick, when there's the mode button.

They are rather tough to find, but worth the hunt. :)

I have one. Works great with Ghostbusters, even though that's a 3-button game. I imagine they put the 3 button switch on it because their customers were too stupid to figure out the mode button.

Picked up one of these brand new, sealed in box about 3 months ago. I opened it though and gave it a go. Pretty sweet, but I still use the pad for most games.

i have one, and oh yes it rocks! want another for sf2. i guess the mode and 3 button are there to accomodate varius set ups icluding 4way play and the team player and such. i`d like to take mine apart to clean it like i did with my 3 button but i'm not too sure about all the switches!

Do elaborate. What's so special about playing Ghostbusters with it?

Yes, that stick is real good. I had a 6 button arcade stick from Capcom and it sucked. The alignment of up,down, left, right of the stick was rotated slightly clockwise, I don't know why.

Ghostbusters is very tough for me to play with a pad because if you hit a diagonal you come to a dead stop. Much easier to deal with when using a high-powered joystick designed by God's favorite videogame company.

well i took my 6 button arcade stick apart to give it a wash, and to my suprise-it was actually a lot easier than doing the three button!

i thought the sticks would have pretty much the same architecture-so the amount of switches seemed daunting, but there's acually no physical sliders (no idea what the technical term is) on the circuit board whatsoever. so nothing difficult to line up. plays even better now it's clean-and looks just ace!

Does the stick use microswitches (little square objects with a circle on top that clicks), or the plastic mesh regular controllers use?

I prefer microswitches, as you can feel when you've made contact properly. I'm that hardcore.

It does not use microswitches. No clicky-clicky. I can't even remember any arcade games that clicky-clicky, though I'm sure there are plenty.

I'd have guessed microswitches would hold up longer in a cig smokey, sweat and foot-smell arcade atmosphere than plastic membranes simply due to their simplicity and size, is all; you don't need to disassemble the unit to scrub out the crust that develops under membranes.

I like how the NeoGeo control pad uses microswitches. It feels great (same with the NeoGeo Pocket Color). However sometimes one direction or another will fail to work on my NeoGeo until I wiggle the hell out of the d-stick for awhile. So while it should be more reliable, I'm not convinced that it is (but I wouldn't have that Neo pad any other way).
