View Full Version : Stories from the Book of Genesis 5: Better Late than Never
Our summer contest winner, Nick Gibson shares his tale of a boy finally discovering the wonder of Sega's 16-bit console. Parents are not usually the most understanding people when it comes to video games, and Nick's almost made him miss one of the best console generations in history! Check out volume #5 (http://www.sega-16.com/Feature-%20Stories%205.htm) of Stories from the Book of Genesis to see why patience pays off, and why the Genesis charm is timeless.

That was a good read. It sounds horrible not playing anything other than an Intellivison into the year 2000. At the same time I hope he still has the intellivison and enjoyed in "taking part in a previous gaming era" to paraphrase his stance on the Genny. :)

Definitely a well written story. It had A Christmas Story kind of feel to it. Bravo on a great job Nick.

Deserved the win, that one. Right on, Mr. Gibson.
..but don't forget about the Intellivision! It needs love, too!

I was on vacation, so I'm a little late checking in.
I'm really surprised I won...there are so many excellent writers on this site.! At any rate, thanks for the complements. ^_^
And thank you, Melf and Mel, for doing this! Great competition format.

You said yours was too short, so you should cut yourself some slack. =) Thanks, though.
