I'd love to know a couple of snippets I can use when buying from a foreign eBay auction. For example, what is the best way to say
Hello. How much would it cost to post this item to an English address?
in a foreign language without sounding like Borat? Babelfish is OK for short quips and desperately cheating on your French homework the night before your paper has to be in, but for 'real-world' translation it's pretty much crap.

If you against all assumption will buy a product from Sweden, here's how to say it:
Hej. Hur mycket kostar det att skicka detta objekt till en engelsk adress?
I doubt any Swede with auctions on eBay doesn't know English though.
By the way, I think I used Babelfish once when I was buying Classic Collection from a French eBayer :D. It turned out well :D.

I advise using this if buying from Germany:
Hallo. Mein Deutscher ist Scheiße. Post? England? Kosten?
I bet you ain't gona be buing anny time soon from Romania, but... you never know:roll: here is how to say it in Romanian;)
Salut, cat m-ar costa sa tremeti obiectul asta pe o adresa din Anglia?
Sincerly if anyone from Romania posts something on E-Bay, be sure that they are going to know english, so no wories :D

Using my stupendous enlightenment I must warn you, Elusive, that all three of those translations are roughly equivalent to the phrase "you are a fat cow lying prostrate on a futon."
