I second that. Anyone who love the Genny, is willing to post here, and is respectful of opposing opinions is definitely cool in my book. So please don't think no one here doesn't respect your opinions or views. This is a great Sega community and I personally am glad that we have so many enthusiastic members. Having said that, I'm glad you're here.

I reply to your posts :) Don't sweat it if the threads don't fill up with replies, keep in mind this is still a very small community. I have no problems with you though, and I doubt anyone else does.

I hope this doesn't have anything to do with my little remark in the age topic; I was just teasing. I honestly don't have a problem with you, your age, your opinions, or anything else.
So keep posting. :)

You're a dork and you suck. Nobody likes you and they were all saying so via private messages. I'm only telling you this to save you the embarrassment when you find out later on that everyone was laughing at you behind your back.
JUST KIDDING!

Dartagnan1083
08-21-2005, 05:53 PM
give it a rest. . .take some time off.
GC hate-fests happen because Nintendo is kicking themselves in the face. . .and THEY LOVE IT. The lack of exclusives and big titles is what does it.
Also, on the whole reply thing.
People may not directly respond, but that could be because they have no dirrect reason to.
If there is a topic about a game or genre I don't really enjoy, I usually don't venture in to discuss. the thread wasn't for me.
People can only say so much. Very few things will attract commentary from everyone.

Strida Col,
I was only joking with you in this specific thread. I figured the boldened JUST KIDDING with a laughing smilie would have been obvious. The shouting "I HATE YOU" posts of yours should be beneath you and are quite infantile. Please be respectful of your fellow posters and quit making threads/ posts that are purely spam.
StRiDA CoL
08-21-2005, 06:13 PM
I was not talking about that Vic
I was talking about your hatred on Nintendo's console.
Vicman
08-21-2005, 06:20 PM
Like I said in the other thread I don't HATE Nintendo's console. Where did I ever even say that I hate the Gamecube? What I'm not interested in is Zelda, Nintendo's business practices, and Nintendo-only fans, in essence people who refuse to purchase or support any other console that isn't made by Nintendo.
Those types of people have been made to suffer through 2 consecutive generations of Nintendo consoles with paltry 3rd-party support and a lack of a constant flow of games. How they continue to stick with Nintendo, and Nintendo only, is beyond me.
As I said before: if you're not multi-platform gaming you're missing out.

I think everyone has gotten along quite well with each other since we started the forum. The fact that so many of the regulars re-registered when we upgraded boards means there's some genuine love for the site and for everything Genesis. It's really nice to see. :)
No one hates you dude, and I doubt anyone here really hates the GC either. Nintendo's attitude this gen just makes a lot of people angry (I'm one of them!). You're a great member and I hope you continue to post here. It's nice to have people with different opinions, as it gives the board some personality.

Yeah... it may of taken me awhile to reregister... but I sure like this site.
What I like a lot about this forum is theres a munch younger crowd... it makes me happy to know so many youngins' like the Genny just as much as those of us who grew up with it.

No Lion Heart, Cyborg, or Kickboxer? :(
Those 3 and Bloodsport are the 'only' movies of his I enjoy.
In the following order:
1. Bloodsport
2. Kick Boxer
3. Lion Heart
4. Cyborg
And they're horrible movies, lol.... but considering Martial Arts were a part of my life and those 4 movies are serious top notch B movie contenders... it's hard to not give them credit for what they do well... which is entertain and make me laugh.

No Lion Heart, Cyborg, or Kickboxer? :(
I never really watched Lion Heart properly, I always came in halfway or during the end,
I still need that one for my JCVD dvd collection.
And Kickboxer was cool and all, but it always kinda felt like it was a weaker bloodsport,
good movie and all, just.. little weaker.
but Cyborg? how dare you mention this horror of a movie!!!
I'd rather have had Dolph Lundgren do He-Man 2!!
(they used the set/clothes for He-Man 2 when that was canceled)

Pure Blasphemy... the whole 'training' phase alone is worth the watch.
The 'main' reason I like Cyborg is for the sample in the beginning of the movie... one of these days I'll use it to make a Nuskool Breakbeat track of Epic Proportions.

Speaking of the He-Man movie, I saw that one in theaters as a kid and if pissed me off even then that they cheeped out and made 90% of it in suburban america.
And speaking of kickboxer, there was another movie that was obviously a rip off that one, called "King of the Kickboxers" that had some other dude and Billy Blanks in it. It wasn't as good as kickboxer, and the sound effects were cheesy, but it had an awesome fight scene at the end. I loved that movie when I was a kid. If any of you come across it, It's worth a few bucks to pick it up.

You know, I had the pleasure of meeting Raul Julia once.
...Actually, that's not true.
But back in '95 or '96, while I was waiting for Real Sex 5 to come on, I watched a five-minute preview for Down Came a Blackbird, which was an HBO movie about some journalist who gets taken to Central America and tortured. I was intrigued; if it starred Gomez Addams, it probably would be good for a few laughs. Then Real Sex came on, which was as close to porn as I could get in those days.
And it was good.

Ahh, the things we did before the internet gave us all the porn we could ever want.
Speaking of the He-Man movie, I saw that one in theaters as a kid and if pissed me off even then that they cheeped out and made 90% of it in suburban america.
Yeah that live-action He-man movie is bullshit. lol
Even as a kid I disliked it, and it bears almost no resemblance to the epic cartoon series; every character and everything is changed / made lame in the movie
I always wished they had tried to make the movie at least consistent with the amazing TV series. No Earth, no suburban America, no jokes about Kentucky Fried Chicken! The movie should be on ETERNIA, possibly other planets & dimensions too, but no USA suburbia. lol
And yes those Real Sex shows were amazing when I was a strapping young lad in middle school, many years before the internet took off. lol

It is remembered as a classic, but not precisely good, however i do prefer masters of the universe than much current crap you can find in form of novels or seemingly "innovative" movies lately.
The important thing is that the original TV series of He-Man is timeless and mind-blowing.
I've got the entire series on DVD and even my girlfriend loves it!!!
