View Full Version : New Staff Position: Anyone Know Japanese?

We're looking for a new staff writer who's able to translate articles and interviews from Japanese to English. Those interested should be able to fully read Japanese, in order to translate the interviews as accurately as possible. There might also be opportunities to interview Japanese personalities for the site.

This is a part-time position, and while no other duties are required, the Japan Editor should be willing to seek out Mega Drive-related articles/interviews for translation, as well as new interviews to conduct.

This is a stupendous development, assuming you can actually find somebody. =P There's still a Japanese fan base alive and kicking out there, and an ambassador of sorts would help the site accumulate some of their information in a readable form.

Wish I knew Japanese.

Since you don't seem to have found anybody... all I can say is that I (and probably most other people here who know any Japanese) know very limited Japanese. Obviously you want something better than that, but that's probably about as far as it goes for most people.

I'm currently learning Japanese, but I don't know enough to do this sort of thing... yet.

Im very skilled at translation the titles of japanese Hentai manga (eromanga) and sound-fx related to copulation.

However.. I fail to see how this would help you much.

Eh...just curious, does the site pay much attention to regions other than NA/JP/EU?

We want to cover every region possible, but it just so happens that the majority of our contributors come from America and Europe.
