Just a thought, but since Pal has extra lines/resolution and better color, will the PAL FMV games on Sega CD and 32X look better than the NTSC versions?

Is PAL slowdown an issue with the FMV games too?

They won't really look any better since AFAIK none of them used the full pal resolution, in fact virtually no Megadrive games did. RGB Scart output would produce better picture quality, but with the MegaCD's video quality that is something of a blessing and a curse. With no composite blurring it looks horribly grainy.

No idea on the speed issue, although I suspect that they run at the same speed. IIRC some games can have the system switched between 50 and 60Hz with the video remaining the same speed. It probably just drops frames to maintain the same rate.

In a more insane point of view, i think they just add dummy frames instead of dropping something already very low in term of frame rate ;P

Yeah, I don't think any Sega CD video exceeds 15 frames per second. And just because PAL's color bandwidth is ever-so-slightly superior to NTSC doesn't mean that their Mega Drive will have more colors.

I think cobra command is under the 8fps critical point, probably 6fps ^^
