A while back, we used to have "theme" weeks where we'd dedicate an entire week of reviews and features to a particular franchise. It's been a while, so we've decided to bring it back! This week, we'll be focusing on everything Jurassic Park. Everthing from reviews of the CD version and Rampage Edition to a historial on the franchise and a comprehensive new Behind the Design about the making of the first game. Brace yourselves folks, it's time to go back to Isla Nublar!

First up is our full review (http://www.sega-16.com/review_page.php?id=1116&title=Jurassic%20Park%20CD) of Jurassic Park CD, a decidedly different take on the franchise. Going the point-and-click route, it was a fresh experience that forced gamers to think instead of shoot, and any misstep could result in a quick death. Read on and see why there's yet one more game that should be in your Sega CD library.

This is one of the few games that made me regret buying a Sega CD. It works great for inducing comas, though.

Hate to nit-pick, but in the review:

"One false move and you'll end up as triceratops food."

Unless you play a walking bipedal house plant, this isn't going to happen.

Never played any Sega CD game, and the comparison to Myst in this review doesn't make me want to anytime soon. I admit though it does look a tad more entertaining than Myst, plus I loved all the JP movies, so who knows. Nice review anyway, thanks!

This was one of the games that came with my Sega CD when I bought it off of ebay. I love playing it, even though I've never beaten it.

I think that I would enjoy Magical Dinosaur Tour on the TG-16 CD more than this. For one it has better graphics and might even have up to 16 times more action (16 x none still = none).
