This version of the game is incredible. I'm really intrigued by it. My favorite feature of the game is the anime-style cutscenes. Plus in this game, The Princess is rather cute. Anyone else ever play the SCD version?

I played it back when it came out. I took it back and got a refund because I felt it really didn't do much with the Sega CD hardware and the control was quite odd compared to what I was used to at the time. Wouldn't be a bad game to find at a thrift store these days, though. :)

I really like the speed settings, but it's weird how the graphics are kind of worse than the Genesis version. Also I found the cutscenes to be lame, but I guess that's just me. It seems like a very quick port, as it doesn't really do anything with the Sega CD hardware (other than cutscenes and CD audio).
Overall I'm kind of ambivalent.

I agree with JUNKER about the princess. :)
Seriously, it's a pretty good version of the original game, but God, the prince has some of the WORST VOICE ACTING EVER! I mean, God! It either make you go into hysterical laughter or makes you go :wtf: .

The only real down note I know of is I guess the fact that it was developed by Bits Laboratory (not to be confused with Bits Studios/B.I.T.S.), who are infamous for developing the NES version of Ghostbusters.
I bought it shortly after release. Terrible controls, poopy visuals compared to the Genny.... I don't think any amount of sound or video improvements can fix what is an otherwise crappy game. On any platform.

Yeah, that's the version I own. The cutscenes are good looking, but the voice acting is hilariously bad. XD Tough game, I honestly suck at it. Still trying to get through Dungeon 1. I do agree with Ash that it had poor graphics compared to the Genises version, which is strange. I would somehow expect a cd rom to have more graphics capacity than a cartridge, so they had no excuse for the poorly detailed sprites.
