This is one of the BEST licensed games on the Sega CD. Action platformer with a great challenge, and the music by Tommy Tallarico kicks ass too. My only complaints would be the FMV clips of the movie they show. Yeah, they're grainy, but not only that, the original audio is removed, and The Terminator theme is dubbed over it, plus Arnold isn't shown in any of the FMVs! He's only on the title screen! What's up with that? Other than those gripes, this game is awesome. Highly recommended.

I could never get much into this or its Genesis version. I am not a fan of David Perry. His games feel very loose and sloppy to me, just like Tommy Tallarico's face!

Yes, I love this game too, even though it has many of the issues that plauge movie licensed games - like stuff that wasn't in the movie.

Who the heck is David Perry?

A guy who made games that would scroll really fast even if you simply turned your character around to face the other direction while standing still.

I need to get another copy of this game.

The music really is my fondest memory of it, but it's also the best Terminator game I've ever played(not very hard to accomplish, though).

But I've never felt Tommy Tallarico's anus.

One of the first Mega CD games I got. Much better than the Mega drive version, plus the music blew me away. I had to rip them and put them on my mp3 player.

I didn't mean that you were a close personal friend of Tommy's, only that he seems to be advertising the fact that he has many close personal male friends. ;)

He befriended me on MySpace. Usually I forget that he is even on there.

Just decided to pop this in for more than 5 mins... and wtf. It is impossible. I'm playing it on normal.

1 life/no continues... WTF! :?

Just read the walkthrough... ok, so it's a short game which I suppose answers the question as to why there aren't extra lives/continues... but jesus.

I can't even get through the TKs on the first level once I drop down the stairs. The walkthrough on Gamefaqs makes it sound like it's actually possible.

I keep getting creamed over and over and over. The writer of the walkthrough said, "2 grenades" to kill an HK... I'm not seeing that... it's more like 4 and the sons of bitches keep coming in waves of 2-4 at a time = :bang:.

The graphics are awesome, the music rocks, and besides the (non adjustable jump depending on how long the button is held), the controls are solid. The WT said there's only a shotgun and an uzi (only on Easy mode too) which kinda sucks.

Guess I'll keep trying but I don't understand why it's sooo damn hard in the first 5 mins of the game. And why is the game SO short!? A lot more happened in the movie... there could have been a lot more levels.

:bs:

Yeah!! I agree! But I still keep playing it hoping to get past the first level... I guess I just love the music so much that I just keep wanting to hear it! hehe...

Nevermind... I just got past the first section in the 1st level. It does only take 2 grenades to kill an HK... 'and' sometimes they drop health which rocks. I was staying too still before... and the endless onslaught would eventually overtake me. I just figured out that you have to continually press on or you're toast. But I died... and now I'm gonna try again... hope I can beat the first level.

Is the CD version really that much better, guys? How many more maps does it have?

Yeah, I was going to post that there's a spot (glitch?) where the HK's endlessly respawn. You gotta take one out and run. Or, if you get hit just keep running.

The game isn't terribly hard once you get the hang of it. I can pick it up on any given day and get near the end, but it will take me a try or two to actually beat it. It sucks that there's no real last boss battle.

The Mega CD version is a totally different game. The only things they have in common is they were both made by Virgin and their run-n-gun games.

Also, the CD version is much easier, with the adding addition of lives.

Interesting... so now there are two games that I wouldn't mind having on Sega CD. :o

Yeah, the CD version is more of a sequel to the Genesis game. I never played much of the Genesis one since I don't actually have it.

If you like them, check out Robocop vs Terminator as well, that game is basically part 3 to the series.

Cool beans... thks for the suggestion. I think I saw a youtube vid and it didn't look all that hot. Was the SNES version I believe...

Try out the Genesis one, I think I remember reviews being better on it. I've never played the SNES version though.

I just looked up the game on Wikipedia, and the storyline is hilarious.

Wow, you weren't kidding :D
It definitely sounds silly trying to mix the Robocop universe into the Terminator universe.

I was reading about the differences and it sounds like it's worth having both.

I might have to get them. ;)
