Man, I love this game. Yeah, it's pretty cheesy, but I just love it. When you shoot people, they're bodies like explode, and their guts and stuff fall onto the floor. And there wasn't even a ratings system back when this was released! So this game was ahead of its time in terms of violence, especially for a console system.

Personally I thought the graphics were too good. They were better than even what the Xbox720 will produce. The music sounded like a real band was in my living room! And the gameplay was so good it's as if Jesus H. Christ himself programmed it using God's powers on the sly. That crazy bastard! The game makes me explode just like the criminals do every time I turn it on since I just can't handle the awesomosity!

I thought Robocop vs. Terminator or Splatterhouse 2-3 were much better blood fest games.

Before Mortal Kombat´s release, Technocop is the more violent game for Genesis.

Beyond the violence, for exemple the enemies exploding bodies, the game is interesting because for division in car stages and action stages.

I rented Technocop when it first came out and thought that it was hilariously the worst game I'd ever seen.

But after getting reaquainted with it in recent years, I now appreciate the cheeziness. It really is a work of art for what it is.

Most naturalistic art (which is what I'd compare video games to in most cases) has no depth, so no thanks... although that is, ironically, true for most games as well. Bleh.

I'd have to disagree about your statement though, that most games are naturalistic art.. especially older games.
I wouldn't even put those two words together actually.
