Ugh. I've tried DLing new layers and rebooting, as well as trying Force ASPI. Nothing works. I'm wary about Force ASPI because it's a tedious process that could screw up my PC if done incorrectly.

There has to be an easier way to get CDs to run in Gens!

Sega 16 has a version of Help Etc now? Nice, it's mini-TNL :D

Gens is poor, when it comes to running Sega/Mega-CD games. I prefer Kega Fusion (http://www.eidolons-inn.net/tiki-index.php?page=Kega), if only because it uses the drivers present in Windows to run CD games; hence, no dicking around with the ASPI layers to get the thing to work. It also emulates a few extra consoles (Master System, 32X, SG-1000 etc.), so it's a pretty useful program.

The day Kega Fusion gets a screen shot feature is the day I delete Gens from my PC. It runs all my Sega CD games fine, as well as all the other systems. I prefer it myself, but the screen grab feature in Gens is just so darn useful.

If you press the print screen button it will copy your entire screen to your clipboard. Then just open photoshop or paint and paste it. If your not using full screen mode then you will have to edit out the part that shows your desktop.

Also KEGA fusion does have a screenshot feature just press SHIFT + F12 or "file>save screenshot as."

Is it possible that installing that force ASPI thingie on your computer can cause problems? I use Gens to play my sega cd's. About a month after installing it my computer would reset ocassionally when reading from the cd drive. Then my computer would reset randomly. And now my computer won't power up at all. Probably unrelated but does make one pause to think. Now I have to buy a new power supply and hope that works.
