Heart of the Alien - Out of this World 1 and 2

Anyone like these games? I really like the original game and think the Sega CD version is very good. Also, it's the only way to get the 2nd game and you're getting the 1st game as sort of a bonus.

I see it more the other way around though. For me it's Out of this World and the additional game Heart of the Alien. I like HOTA but it's no OOTW. It has his moments but I would have preferred to see the original game from the Alien's point of view, as was suggested by Eric Chahi I think.

I love both games. Incidentally I think the "bonus" inclusion of the original may just be the very best version of Out of this World ever made.

I'm really back into these 2 games lately. I'm finally able to beat HOTA's last
level, which in the past I only managed to beat once... Accidently I guess :p

Any people here who'd like to discuss the game? Or the endings?

I'm not sure how I feel about Heart of the Alien's ending. It was sad, and kind of disappointing... but I tend to criticise things that go to ridiculous extents to find a happy ending.

Heart of the Alien seems to get a lot of bad press because the creator of the original had nothing to do with the sequel, but I still enjoyed it.

The ending was upsetting, but I kind of like closure, and it wasn't too sad a finale.

I guess being Sega CD-exclusive doomed the sequel to obscurity.
