I don't normally follow wrestling these days. I find the story lines to be trashy and repetitive, nothing like days of my childhood where Bret Hart and The Undertaker ruled the squared circle. But I just found this article (http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/news/story?id=2916498) on ESPN.com's front page.

The news is horribly unsettling. Chris Benoit was a wrestler that I very much looked up to. My grandfather and I would watch him on Monday nights, and he would call him "a tough son-of-a-bitch" in an accent-heavy way, a compliment few received. The news saddens me, it boggles the mind that someone you look up to so much could possibly have their own terrible demons. My prayers go out to his family.

It´s so sad to see so many of my childhood heroes suffering an early death. I was a huge Wrestling fan from 1992 until the nWo was on top...
so many wrestlers have died eversince. Owen Hart. The British Bulldog. Eddy Guerrero. Brian Pillman. Yokozuna. Mr Perfect. Earthquake.
You don´t get very old in that buisiness.
And so many others have sunken so low. Drugs. Alcohol. Violence. Jail.

This is the top of it. I respected Chris Benoit as a great wrestler...I saw him live twice. But if he did that; kill his wife, then waited a day to kill his son and finally on day 3 himself...he should go to hell. No problems, how huge they may appear, are an excuse for murdering one´s family.

lets just hope they don't do the same disgraceful rubbish they did with eddy gueraro now, pulling out some joke of a storyline revolving benoits death... And where are they going to go with this vince is dead trash....

Actually, on RAW last night the show started with Vince in the ring, so that whole angle has been stopped, which is something they planned on for a bit anyway.

But still, holy shit. I can'te believe he's just gone. We'll never know what happened, it looks like he just snapped.
