The Staples Center was rented out and filled to capacity with loyal Sega-16 bit fans. They all gathered to honor Sega-16 on its third birthday. Lets go around and see whats going on!

Ken walks up to the podium:

Ken: I thank you all for coming today. Three years ago I wanted to start a special website for something I held dear. After much deliberation, I decided the Sega Genesis, along with its peripherals, would be a great topic! I started out and soon after debuting my site to the world on this day, people came.

60 unique people a day was something I thought was amazing at the time.....Yes, I was wrong!

Now we've easily hit over 2,000 a day! Sega-8bit.com hits day on a biannual basis!

*Crowd laughs*

I thank you all, and now i'd like to invite anyone else who has some thing to say.

Ken walks off as Joe Redifer comes up to the podium:

Joe: I'm just a music man who's been the outspoken member around here for a good year and a half. Im sitting at around 1,000 more posts than Ken, and I'll pretty much win any argument here. Still, i'm glad to be a part of this and can't wait for the 6 year party!

*crowd claps*

Joe: That's all I have to say.....for now.....

Joe steps off. EvilDragon runs by him and jumps infront of the podium:

ED:  Sorry, I ran all the way here. I have an important announcement for you all! The greatest creation to ever hit the world!

ED Pulls a small machine out of his pocket. It has a screen and a wheel with arrows and VCR control buttons. He holds it up to the crowd.

ED: I present, the worlds first music player/camera/phone/microwave oven/sonogram machine/watch/compass/label maker ever! The EDPod!

David J stands up.

David: But, the iPhone comes out in two days, and does everything yours does.

ED:.....:bang: IT WAS JUST AN IDEA! *runs off*

Ken runs back up to the podium:

Ken: Heh.....Well, our next speaker is now Genesis Knight!

*respectful applause*

GK: This was pretty much just something for me to do on the side in between lessons, but it became so much more! I'm honored to be a part of it, and i'm glad you've all taken me back when I left, and have made this just an awesome experience!

Nick then proceeds to jump off the stage and crowd surf.

(Over the next half hour, other members like j_factor, Mr.Smith, Elusive, Flash1087, 108 Stars, and Drixxell had some things to say. Then it was Zebbes turn)

Zebbe walks on stage and receive a stand ovation. He stands next to the podium, eyes closed, just soaking it it.

Zebbe: Thank you! This is the best site in the world! Back in my homeland of Sweden, there's not to many fans like this that would really get together and celebrate a great era of not only gaming history, but world history as well! I thank you all! Whoo!

Zebbe doesn't crowd surf, instead he walks on everyones head back to his seat, and all the people he stepped on have no problem whatsoever with it happening!

*Somewhere, outside the Staples Center, a little boy is crying and starting in the window. A gentle rain falls. The boy holds his head and weeps. This boy is TheGZeus.*

Gen esis Gamer walks up to the podium:

GEG: i love u all and i cannot believe thaty ou wanted mehe re to be a part off this amamazingg thing! hoepfelly somedai ill have a sit e just as giood as thissis one!

He walks off happily as the crowd gets out their translators.

ary incorporated talks about his favorite kinds of music, and mentions Sega-16 once. Being Off-Topic is part of the fun!

:sonic: :Hi! I'm just here to say thank you all for all that you've done to keep my legacy alive. Keep the dream going, and stay in school!

Ken simply stares.

:sonic: Gotta jet! Now, who here can tell me where I get paid?

Sonic zooms off the stage.

Ken is about to get back on stage to conclude the festivities, when EvilDragon runs back to the stage.

ED:  I have a confession. 14 years ago I cheated on my third grade math test by pretending to use the bathroom but I instead just copied two answers off a 75 question quiz from the smart girl in front of me! I'm sorry! :sorry:

Crowd: Um, we never knew you did that nor do we care.

ED: Well I'm sorry to interrupt you! Bye!

ED runs off, the rest of the crowd start to party as special guest Weird Al Yankovic surprises everyone and starts a concert!

Happy 3rd everyone!

I grinned the whole way through. Your perceptions are...uh...right on. You should have given Joe some sort of acidic sarcastic comment, though. And Zebbe should have mentioned The Internets.

I say you CTRL+V that into a Stories From the Book of Genesis.

It'd be them most off=topic Stories feature ever....

Oh, I see.

I'm still chuckling now.
Truly awesome.
Zebbe should have tried to sell Pommac to the crowd though.

It was a great evening. But when I wanted to go home that blue guy with the red shoes stopped me and ripped me off the few coins I had in my pocket babbling something about not getting paid.
When he just wanted to run away he noticed the soaking wet GZeus sitting there in despair, hoping to see some little children he could scare, and with a single black rain-coud hanging over his head.
I thought the Hedgehog would give him one of the coins, but instead he took the money he found in GZeus´ beggar´s hat.
Then he ran away with Sonic-speed, probably having to appear on some opening party for a super-market or on a set for a new porn-movie that will surely get him back on top.
I´m still angry with myself for not asking him for an autograph!

Look under your chairs, everyone. Yes, that's a bottle of Pommac for you, and also a RGB-SCART-cable. Those who live in NTSC land also get that adaptor needed, and PALs get a 60 Hz switch. For FREE!!!

We all have to excel at something. ;)

Comic gold. I was happy to get a mention in there. My speech was probably some drunken rambling about the Dreamcast, so it's best you didn't have to type it out.

Forum fanfiction? What madness is this?

Hopefully Vinny will produce Sega-16 the novel by the end of the year. I for one would buy a copy, providing it isn't tosh. :D

If you're in it, the word "tosh" will appear several times. I'm not saying that you are tosh, but you say "tosh" a lot. In fact you're the only one I've ever heard say or type that word. Perhaps I should say it on another forum and see if it takes off. If it does, I will take all credit and profits.

In Mr Smith's world, things are either "awesome" or "tosh".

It's nice to be able to categorize everything so neatly, isn't it? :p

Are you telling me there's a thrid choice? I think not. ;)

I have seen a few others use the word "tosh" here before. It is an awesome word, however, I doubt it very profitable. If you do introduce it to another forum I am afraid all you might get is adoration and respect from other members, which is, sadly, worthless.

You had to have been extremely bored to come up with this, Vinny!
