I am currently thinking of purchasing this game and I ma just wondering if anyone here in the community has had the chance to experience this game. I hear it is very good and has beautiful 2D graphics for the PS2. Anyone's opinion would be appreciated.

It's one of the most addicting games I've played in recent memory. Yes, the graphics are beautiful, but the real meat is in the gameplay. Kinda reminds me of a Mana game, actually. The food and the growing things and the Phozons...
My one gripe is that it can be...overly frustrating. The bosses, and even a lot of the regular enemies, are not afraid of cheap shots.
The music is a bit on the meh side. It's definitely not Sakimoto's best OST.
Anyway, yeah, I'd recommend it. You'll be having good fun for a while.

Graphics are awesome (though limited to 480i 4:3), but the game puts waaaaay too much emphasis on eating things. I thought that the food was annoying enough in Princess Crown, but they took it way past the limit here.

I am just glad that their are still games coming out for the PS2. Hopefully it will end as strong as the Playstation ended. Sony sold 60% of thier Playstation consloles after the PS2 was launched.

I bought both Odin Sphere and Grim Grimoire recently and while I haven't played Odin Sphere, I can safely vouch for Grim Grimoire as a solid strategy experience. If you're into some of the more weird games out there then I would reccomend it fully.

I got Odin Sphere yesterday and it is pretty good. I have only played it for about an hour and I have to agree with both Vyse and Joe. It is kind of frustrating and the growing food is kind of monotonous. The 2D animation is great though.

You should definitely buy Grim Grimoire as well.

After playing through this game for over 5 hours I have to say it is a bit overrated. There are only a few different levels and they never change backgrounds and I think it gets bland after awhile. I still beleive that cooking is tedious and there is just too much slowdown also.
