I might buy it around christmas time, if it's not a limited production.

I just want to hear some opinons on it before I buy it, and I think it'll be out by then.

I wish it was coming out soon as I'd like to buy it right away. Having a, relatively, new RPG on the Genny is a rather cool proposition to explore. The fact that I'll be getting it brand spanking new with all the trimmings is really really cool. $40 is a bit more than I'd like to spend but something like this doesn't happen very often, let alone at all, so why not take the plunge! :D

I'll tell you this though, you'll probably find the ROM online within days after it's on sale simply because stuff get's pirated with the quickness!

Just the fact that it's a new Genny RPG that I haven't ever seen before makes me want to buy it. So, they've got my money. I'll definitely buy it.

Maybe if they lower the price cause I think $40 is too much unless the reviews say it's really good.

It's a brand-new 32meg RPG for my Genesis. How could I not buy it?

Stay tuned next week, as Sega-16 will have an exclusive preview of the game, including an interview with the man responsible, Brandon Cobb (CMA Death Adder).

Resistance is futile. You will be assimilated.

@ Melf and/or CMADeathAdder-

Just to assure my head is screwed on straight, if Melf just said that it is 32MEG, then when CMADeathAdder said it was a 4Meg cart, he really ment 4Megabytes * 8 = 32 Megabits. I just wanted to clarify things if I could.

And I will damn well buy this cart. Being from the NEO GEO AES Homecart camp, limited production games' value often will rise above SRP after it sells out. So for those of you who are 'thinking' of buying it, the best time is when it is released. Case in point, I bought Metal Slug 5 AES for $300 brand new couple years ago. Now its worth easily $400+ in NM-Mint condition.

I'll buy it. I might even buy more than one copy, so if they do increase in value I can sell some.

Yes, just not right away.

I might buy 2, and sell the sealed copy in a few years!

He actually said "4MB", so yeah. Plus, a 4 meg cart would be tiny for a Genesis RPG.. even Phantasy Star II was 6 megs.

And yeah, I'll be buying this game as soon as I possibly can.

On one hand, a new release for the Genesis is a pretty big deal and it may never happen again. On the other hand, I don't really like RPG's. Decisions...decisions...

Not for $40.

I think that one of the things that appeals to the Genesis community is the fact taht cheap games are readily available.

But even Used RPG's run over $20 on average... so $40 for a NEW game seems about fair. Limited run will give it long term collectability & value.

If ppl wont get it,its ok w/ me, means i wont have to fight to get it =)

I do think though we should get other types of homebrews that are less expensive than RPG's. RPG's require too much work.

Besides, I'm pretty sure Genny programming is a totally different animal than programming the TIA.

Are they going to be recycling carts to produce it like the ATARI scene does?

I'm pretty sure the carts for Beggar Prince are newly manufactured.

If I'm gonna be paying $40 then I prefer the games be RPG's simply because I know I'll get 20-40 hours worth of gameplay out of it.
I'm of the opinion that short games aren't worth full price unless they have huge replayability like fighters/sports games. I'm sure most would disagree but I have never felt good about dropping $40-50 just to finish the game in a 4-5 hour sitting, anything less than 10 hours really, and then never play it again. I could've rented the game for 10% of the price and had the same amount of fun. Better to wait for such games to hit the bargin bin where their price is closer to their worth/what I find acceptable IMO.

This cheap-ass philosophy has allowed me to amass a large collection w/o putting me in debt or kill my ability to spend money elsewhere.

All that makes sense. I think I'm agreeing with you. Some games are worth spending on and others not.

Is there any news about this release? I'm interested in it.

When's it finally coming out?
