I'll just say that lately I've played Lost Planet and I just recently bought Ghost Busters for the PC. A couple of my favorites of the past were Star Wars: Galaxies and Jedi Knight II.

Lol... the same can be said for getting used to PC Gaming early on. Once you go PC you can't go back.

;)

I've gone PC and I rarely go back to it.

Name me two games you love to play...

he meant he went PC and it was FTL.

It's not the only PC games I've played; I've played (own) Starcraft, Mirror's Edge, Crysis, Railroad Tycoon 2, Diablo, Halo, KOTOR, Medal of Honor, GTA: Vice City, Warcraft II, Myst, Half-Life, HL2 and countless games through MAME and emulators.

I see the problem.

No Duke Nukem, and no C&C
No Doom 2 either :o

I've played Doom, Duke Nukem (Saturn) and I wasn't that interested in what I'd played of C&C. I could list Amiga titles if you'd like. ;)

Isn't this thread supposed to be about posting your game setups?

Sorry :D

Your list is satisfactory... it's missing lots of stuff, but different strokes n all that.

I almost totally rearranged my game room because I had found a new shelf to use and added another. It all seems a bit off-kilter in the photos, but it is very stable in real life.

http://www.sega-16.com/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=1251&stc=1&d=1268968352

The main project of all of it was getting the power cords orderly. Everything was stuck in one big ball of wires. Getting it all arranged took over an hour and I'm still trying to get things more orderly. The Atari 2600's power cord was the main problem because it's really long and skinny like yarn, so it tied up everything. It was a pain to get everything rearranged, but now I have more room for more consoles. I just have to attach them to the shelves better because some slip around and could possibly slip off the shelves!

I can't wait till this is changed.

We're moving across the road in a month and I'll finally get a personal bedroom TV.

And yes, those are goddamn PC speakers... if I hook them up directly to the Mega Drive (And assuming the plug is in properly... need to fix that still), it sounds goddamn awesome, emulators have NOTHING on this. As for if I hook it up to my decently high quality headphones? CCAM's need to come with a warning stating 'Caution: May cause eargasms'. Either way, I kinda dragged on a bit... basically, I felt the need to explain why I had PC speakers lying around (And hence, two subwoofers next to each other). Also, the rear speaker is on top of the subwoofer because my father thinks someone will trip over the cord. :daze:

Why don't I just connect the Mega Drive to the amp? It gets all muffled and defeats the purpose of even having a modded Mega Drive. :p

Also, don't get a Plasma TV, it may actually be pretty damn awesome when you get the settings just right (I have the DSi captured imagery to prove it... I kinda went an inch away from the screen) but it's what you call far too large.

I guess I'll post some of my pictures

1) That's obviously where I play most of my stuff. The dreamcast on the side was replaced by my new complete genesis/cd/32x. At that point I was playing Crash N' Burn on my 3DO. There is a TG-16 on top of the 3do in there.
http://i48.tinypic.com/2dagdvo.jpg

2)Just my genesis.
http://i40.tinypic.com/28k26oi.jpg

3) Better look at consoles in the unit.
http://i45.tinypic.com/124y7hd.jpg

4) Some of my other systems.
http://i46.tinypic.com/2vlm8wk.jpg

5) My beautiful genesis games. I do have boxes for probably 12-15 of them I just don't keep the games in their boxes.
http://i50.tinypic.com/15qdbbk.jpg

6) Shelves where I keep my newer games.
http://i50.tinypic.com/4jnk3.jpg

I have more pictures but I figured it would get a bit long if I showed all of my games. I have about 30 games for the NES and SNES each, about 9 Saturn games but they are mostly Sports games, I have 3 Sega CD games as well but they are mostly crap except for Lunar.

It's a very good 2.5D multi-plane beat'em-up, unlike stuff like Fighting Force (but that was a 3D beat-'em-up), which was released around the same time. It's the US/European version of Dynamite Deka, and it's the prequel to Dynamite Cop (Dynamite Deka 2) on the Dreamcast. It (DH Arcade/Dynamite Deka) was remade in 2006 for the PS2 on the Sega Ages 2500 line-up (yes, THAT line-up), and it's AMAZING, it's the best game in the line-up. I recommend you to check out either the Saturn original or the PS2 remake (although you'll have to import the PS2 remake as it was released only in Japan)

QuickSciFi

Lol. You should see the rest of my loose consoles. I have two more original Xboxes and Gamecubes, about five more Genesis model 2s (one sealed) and more dreamcasts, one more NES, about two more N64s and two more Saturns. Whenever I see a good looking console for $4 at Goodwill, it's a no brainer. Although by now I've already stopped purchasing extra consoles. I've too many.

But to answer your question, 5 PS1s seems about right. I wish I had five of every disc-based system (thinking about the Sega CD now).

yes, it's an Effin' SAMSUNG, LCD type.

it really does the job for me quite handily though; with the proper picture settings,
and ALL of the DNR functions OFF, all my SD sources-

(S-VHS VCR, LD, vintage Video Games)

-look better than ever.

after being used to CRT tech my whole life, it took a little getting used to,
but as soon as i adjusted to the idiosyncrasies of the technology,
i was in heaven.

yes, this thing lets all of my SD sources' shine their deficiencies right through, but it also displays all of their strengths in high relief as well.

you adjust, and get used to it, and you find that it, on the whole,
is a far superior way to roll in SD than CRT tech ever was.

now, as far as my DV-09 DVDP is concerned? i can finally use COMPONENT VIDEO connection, and, of course, it has never looked better...

having a hard time finding a way to do away with it.

our local "AGAPE HOUSE" charity organization wouldn't take it, -they are suddenly out of accepting CRT TV donations-
and the neighbors across the street weren't interested.

we'll be trying the local GOODWILL soon, but if they won't take it, i don't know what the heck to do.

for now, it sits in the back of out secondary car, a 1987 SUBARU station wagon...

You should hang on to it, just in case you want to revert back to using it. I'll never purchase a flat screen tv because older games look horrible on it, and I don't watch tv or movies very often. When the time comes that you can't ever purchase a CRT, I'd pay top dollar to have one airlifted from another country if I had to.

HD monitors aren't necessarily automatically bad for SD sources, at least the better grades/brands of today aren't.

here; i'll let this quote from a discussion on one of my other forums explain;

************************************************** ***********************************

And GOD DAMN 32-inch CRTs are heavy. I may be a staunch supporter of Rube Goldberg's vacuum tube,
but seriously, panel displays are worth it just because you don't have to get a football team together to help you move The Herniator.

EXACTLY.

when me and my mother's BF moved my old 32" TOSHIBA CRT out, which, according to the manual,
is slightly over 100lbs. the last bit of love and loyalty i had for CRT video monitor tech evaporated
along with the sweat shedded in the effort of moving my particular overweight beast out of the house.

indeed, with this new LCD, which is specified to weigh in at around 40lbs.
there is now no single element of my AV system that i cannot easily pick up and move on my own,
and i like that very much indeed...

Game mode often introduces other things though---I leave it off.
Game mode may try to increase response by disabling some things, but it has other nasty effects many times. (like super-saturated color/contrast etc).

Turning EVERYTHING off is often the best bet---"doing nothing" has the TV processing as fast as it can.

that's exactly what i have found to be the case. i have ALL SD enhancements OFF on mine,
and this provides the best performance, which, to my eyes, is actually BETTER than how it looked on CRT.

BETTER, i contend, because, like KEITH here says;

These things don't look like crap because of HD, they look like crap because SD hid the low resolution of it.

exactly that. SD on a quality HD monitor is, simply put, Brutally Honest.
whatever looks bad about your SD source looks bad on an HDM, and whatever looks good about it looks just that; good.

for my part, i have long since gotten used to the strengths and weaknesses of all my SD sources, and they simply don't bother me.

it took a few days to get used to how this new monitor displays everything without apology,
but, much like how an audiophile learns to hear "Musical Truth" for what it is,
i have come to accept and appreciate seeing all the SD sources i spent my childhood with through a crystal-clear window...

Simply because it weighs more doesn't make CRTs bad. How often does someone actually move a TV? My TV hasn't been moved in six years, and if I had to move it, I would just bum a family member to do it for me. Say what you will, but I'd rather get cancer than to ever "give in", and get a flat screen tv, not to mention you have a Samsung, which is garbage.

Here in America we missed-out on a lot of hard-clamshelled titles. You lucky bastards.

photobucket lowers jpg quality.

use png files if you want to keep full quality on photobucket.

PNGs of photos takes huge amount of space though... my internet is fast enough to download 10MB file in a second but not everyone has something such and waiting for a 5MB+ file to show up slowly is aggravating...

im just saying ~ that if retaining photo quality is an issue, use PNG for that file.
im not saying to ONLY use PNG for everything ;)

besides ~ not all PNGs are big, some get amazingly small, it depends on the photo content/color count/etc. gaming stuff gets very small in PNG format.

It's actually pretty good. The only complaint I have is with the Saturn, the graphics are not that sharp so I'm gonna get an S-video cable, that should help a bit. Also sometimes the screen ratio is off , but most the time I can adjust it.

Now that's an awesome game room! There's a lot of stuff you have that I would love to own! And I must also mention that those Coca-Cola stools are pretty cool, are they back from the 60's, or just made to look that way?

Thanks! I don't have a ton of games, just a small handful of key titles for each of those systems :).

Actually those stools were purchased new a few years ago. My wife collects that stuff, and when she wanted to get rid of them I slipped them into the game room!

myself, i have yet to find an HD monitor anywhere with S-VIDEO inputs. is there actually one out there that you know of?

anyone have any clue as to why S inputs are so seemingly rare/impossible to find on today's HDMs?

Monitor, no. HDTV, yes!

The 2009 Samsung 52" LCD in my livingroom has one S-Video input on the side. The Sony Wega HD CRTs in my home have S-Video on the front and back panels. Now, the monitor grade 24" LG LCD on my desk only has HDMI, DVI and D-Sub.

-plan to eventually repair original GC-compatible Wii by self-installation of a replacement disc drive assy.))
