Detailed character battles

As I made the Solid Snake/Sam Fisher thread, it occured to me that this could make for a good article. We could have a Genesis hero face off against others from other consoles, and show who would win and why. Of course, it would have to be objective, as most people would assume we'd always have the Genny guys win.

I do enjoy a good character battle, but the rampant fanboy voting wars of GameFAQs may have permanently stained my enjoyment (I just don't give a shit how Samus vs. Master Chief would turn out..). As long as the character battle was creatively written out with solid reasoning behind the outcome with as little bias as possible ("Sonic vs. Mario: Mario bl0ws! SEGA POWER."), I'd be up for it.

As long as the face-offs are reasonably sensible (ie, no Boogerman vs. Optimus Prime), it wouldn't be a bad idea.

That'd be *two* character battle article lines. Seems like overkill to me. They're not that funny, as a general rule.
