New Sega-er

I always grew up with Nintendo, but I had a Genesis (which broke). So I was thinking about getting into Sega, particularly Genesis. Anyone have any advice on getting started in my new Sega lifestyle?

Buy a Mega Drive/Genesis with the original Sonic the Hedgehog. Then read Sega-16's game reviews to see which games are awesome and which games are tosh.
