Which is better?
I pick future because rather than save a princess or raid treasure.
I like to kill corperate thugs and and hack computers.

Future

Mostly because people live longer, and think for themselves more.

Hmm, I'm not sure...

I think medieval, because by future you seem to mean a cyberpunk future and that wouldn't be nice to live in what with all the crime etc. and swords are always cool. :)

Phh crime was still just as rampant in the middle ages, except it technically wasn't called crime because thats just how shit was dealt with back then.

I personally feel sorry for people in the middle ages, especially vikings, they were so metal yet they had no viking metal to go beserk to. Its a damn shame so because of the lack of viking metal in the middle ages I gotta say the future would be sweeter.

Plus the chicks will be hotter in the future too.

To live in, definitely the future. In games, medevil has better graphics. But I don't really like medevil themes in my RPGs because people from those times were just lame. Ghouls 'n Ghosts rocked da house, though.

Medieval times were fully of death, disease, suffering, life was cheap, crime was violent, healthcare sucked, TV wasn't invented, women didn't shave off their body hair, the church was supreme, tea and coffee hadn't been discovered, plagues, poverty, no Sega, no Internet/easy access to porn, no warm running water, brutal wars, injustice, death, destruction, death again, death again, death again. The list is virtually endless and the answer "Medieval or future" is bloody obvious.

I didn't know "medevil" had been eaten too much. I prefer future, but if it was between fantasy and future, it would have been a tie. Both can display magical worlds of special atmosphere.

What he said...

But if by the future, you mean an indefinite future (as in we pick what part of future), if could be the time in the future when we are being wiped out toward extinction, but I'd still pick that over the black plague

Well technically you can do kill corporate thugs and hack computers today. There really isn't much treasure that needs raiding or many princesses in need of saving, so I would have to say medieval.

I like the romanticized depiction of brave knights and beautiful princesses, of course, so in one regard I'm a nut for anything 'medieval'. On the other hand, I enjoy sci-fi depictions of futures similar to ours in terms of culture and people but different in terms of technology.

Basically I like certain representations of both, but HATE other styles of the same era. Dystopian futures, depressingly realistic medieval era, etc.

Come on Genesis Knight Dystopian and Cyberpunk futures are Great.

And Lord Dilks tell me where the corperate thugs are today.Look I hate Medevil stuff I only liked Id softwares medevil games and the movie excalibur. To live in the future would be great as well.I don't want to sit there waiting for some werido saying he is a wizard to cast fear in my primative mind.I rather fight the opression.

And Genesis Knight if things keep going the way thay are going we will have MTVs luguna beach or whatever it is called on every TV station 24/7.

Also Lord Dilks do these corperate thugs work for MTV which makes us nerds a thing of the past?

To sum it all up medevil is way overused in,movies, games, even books.
Where do you see future, it must be a thing of the past...

Firstly no type of corporation was specified, and yet it really makes no difference, as I'm sure most corporations have a "thuggish" element within their considerable ranks.
Also I see no reason why this "weirdo" need cast fear into your mind. If he has the power to do that, you thus have the power to resist that thought, unless he genuinely was a wizard and could cast spells (which in itself would be pretty awesome and worth living around.) Why do you assume you would have to have a primitive mind and live in fear of a weirdo/wizard.

And what of MTV? I can't say I like that network, in fact I hate it. It will however have that "thuggish" element within it, as it is supremely successful and incredibly enduring.....even though it does show mainly shit. I see no reason why they should make nerds a thing of the past.
