Sonic 1 because it's the only sonic game that I have played with more since I own it. I just rented the other sonic games now I would like to spend more time with them.

probably Sonic 3, sonic 2, and sonic CD, ostly because Sega and sonic Team went all the way to make these hell of a games

Sonic 2. It was the first video game I ever owned I've played it for hundreds of hours and I still find it enjoyable.

Sonic 3 & Knuckles because I played it nonstop for about a year.

Gotta go with Sonic 1 mainly because, while it wasn't revolutionary in gameplay, it was a revolutionary game. (Don't know if that makes sense). I remember playing it the first time and seeing the speed Sonic achieved. I'd never seen a game move that fast before and it caused me to look at platformers in a whole new way. Mario had depth and was a game that relied more on exploration, but Sonic chucked that for the adrenaline rush. And Mario, while great in his own right, suddenly seemed downright dorky compared to Sonic and his attitude.

Sonic wasn't the first company mascot, but I think that the hedgehog was responsible for the "mascot craze" where every company tried to come up with something that could represent them and sell tons of games.

I don't think that any of them ever achieved the level of success or recognition the hog did.

And lastly, Sonic put Sega on top. It was that game that put an end to the Nintendo juggernaut and I honestly believe that were it not for that game, Sega wouldn't be where they would've been today had they not gone into the crapper.

Sonic 1 doesn't need a spin dash. I play it in Sonic Jam and I use it like, once or twice in the entire game. Since it didn't have the spin dash, the levels weren't designed for it.

I would say Sonic CD because my heart goes out to that game and its amazing soundtrack (both versions) and amazing visuals.

But, I play Sonic 3 and Knuckles the all time most... I know that game from beginning to end with my eyes closed. There is nothing in that game I can't do or can't get. The amount of time and gameplay I spent on it is mindboggling

Strange how I like the games with the least amount of Sonic Team's involvement.

The only Genesis Sonic's I have are the first one and 3D blast. I have Sonic Jam on the saturn tho. I like 'em all tho.

Getting the rest of the genesis sonic games isn't a high priority right now.

The 3d area in Sonic Jam. It was based on a planned 3d Sonic game for Saturn by the same name, that never really got that far in development because it was always on the back burner. Some elements of it were used in Sonic Adventure, though.

Oh right that :) I havent had much experience with Sonic Jam... I usually just play the origionals on my Genny. I should play them on Jam though.

All of the Sonic games are at the pawnshop, however the copy of Sonic and Kunckles they have is messed up. I might buy them next week.

Maybe... Then I'll have every sonic genesis game, yay me.

I think that the game is decent, however people are expecting something other than what sonic Spinball is, when they see Sonic in the title.

Ehh, even as a pinball game I don't think Spinball is as cool as it ought to be. If the game played faster and Sonic himself behaved more like a pinball, it would be awesome. Looking at it as a Sonic game, it would have been cool to make the brief platforming areas in the table a bit more Sonic-like, including ramps and corkscrews that would send you flying back into the table. ..but overall, I just wish it played faster with ball and flipper physics being even a bit more genuine. Still a fun game, though.

Sonic CD, by far and away. Being a Sonic fan eleven something years and running, I have a right to say that along with the rest of us old gamers. *makes old man grunt noises*

Oh, Sonic Labyrinth was more fun IMHO than Sonic 3D Blast. But that's because I'm a Game Gear freak >3

I'm playing the Sonic 3 & Knuckles combo for the frist time ever! I've had these 2 games for years but I've never played them together with the intent of finishing it.

When I bought my Mega Drive with Sonic the Hedgehog I loved it. Hell, even when I didn't own a system yet I couldn't wait to play it.

When the other parts came out I loved those as well. But now my interest in them is really wearing off.
Sonic I sold first. I still have Sonic & Knuckles and Sonic 2. Overall liking Sonic 2 best.
Maybe it is a cyclic thing, or it just fades out eventually.
