Post your desktops!
I am on my XP machine right now which is hooked upto a 57" Widescreen HDTV, that is why my desktop has a weird resolution (1280X720 with underscan).

I don't actually create backgrounds like you, but here's my desktop. Also this is only one of my desktops. I have dual operating systems installed. The other OS I have is Fedora Core 4 (linux)

Thats a cool desktop... yeah I have another machine running Vector Linux, I just don't know how to take a screenshot on it (do you per chance).
Anyways, this is the image I use as my wallpaper on my Linux box though running XFCE Gui.

and this is what my desktop on my XP machine WAS until I moved to this HDTV (i only changed cause the resolution stretched this image and it looked weird.) I made this one for a contest over at SX. (its scaled down and may have some color error, but the one I have on my comp doesn't do that)

I change the background every couple of days, but I never have icons on my desktop. I like a VERY clean/simple look. Also I use either Maxthon or Firefox. Both can be a memory hog but they're infinitely better than IE. I prefer Maxthon because it's extremely customizable and gives you a ton more options over Firefox, but both are acceptable. If you haven't checked Maxthon out you should: http://www.maxthon.com
