So your Menacer is collecting dust, and you're wondering why the heck you got one in the first place. Though unlikely, it's possible that you let Terminator 2: The Arcade Game slip under your radar. A pretty decent conversion of the arcade hit, it's actually quite playable with Sega's unwieldy weapon of light, and it's quite inexpensive nowadays. We've a full review (http://www.sega-16.com/2007/10/terminator-2-the-arcade-game/) of it, and we absolutely, positively WILL NOT STOP until you have read it.

Gah, I'm lazy. Link please.

EDIT: OK, I managed to find the review on my own and read it. It was quite good. I disagree with this statement "The visuals will not disappoint any of the graphic enthusiasts of the world" and miss comments on the sound.

OK, how the fuck do you get past the stage that is set in the future where you are trying to protect the truck? I have never beat that level, EVER.

Maybe it was crappy tv at the time but the curser for the Menacer never seemed to be where I was pointing it. It had this annoying delay. I hated that game because of it. I loved it in the arcade though where it worked

The easiest way to do it is to get ALL THE MISSILES they give you in the beginning, fire them only at the flying HKs. Then, you must pick off the T-800s in the head in the order they come in at the truck. They must not be able to reach the cab of the truck at all and it is easier if the gunner can survive. Its basically the hardest level in the game in my opinion, but with two people its a piece of cake because you can have one take care of one thing and the other can take care of the other.

Melf, I LOVE your witty intros to all of the reviews. that is all.

I loved the arcade game and was always impressed how well its digitized graphics appeared in the limited 64-colors. Sure, there's no video and the game did take a color and detail hit, but it's a still a good port. It really reminds me of Operation Wolf and is I think the last really good 2-D gun game before polygons took over. Surprised a 3-D update hasn't been made given how popular the franchise is.

That truck level was such a bitch, I don't think I ever legit beat it. Level select ftw.

The truck level is criminally hard.

You need two people to make it easier.

This was another game I played back then. I never owned it, but friends always ended up renting it on weekends. I thought it was cool.

This was a good port. The only reason to play it over the MAME emulator version is because it is fair on the Genesis and not a quarter stealer like on MAME.
