Is Zebbe's post supposed to transition from Alien Soldier to Beggar Prince? :D

Maybe Zebbe is trying to say that Alien Soldier and Beggar Prince are so similar that if you own one or the other, you effectively own both!
Exactly! See, Joe knows what's up!
... fixed.

Haha, if someone who doesn't get this sort of humor reads Joe and Zebbe's posts, they're going to think S16 is a gaggle of idiots. No hardware support for towns? Inferior DVD format? WTF? :p

The joke would be on them, not us.

In order to still enjoy the Mega Drive after nearly 20 years, you need to have a bloody good sense of humour. Folks who read the articles and didn't understand are likely to be folk who instantly upgraded to a PlayStation/Saturn/N64 and continued to upgrade. Now 10 years on they will have an über modern console (possibly a PS3) and no sense of humour.
Inspired by Joe, I would like to take a moment to share my contempt for the Game Gear.
Great turnout this month and a great read.
