View Full Version : Sonic Gems Collection: Release Date & Game List
Magic-Box is reporting that it will ship for GameCube in Japan on August 11. The games included are:
- Sonic The Fighter (AC, 1995)
- Sonic The Hedgehog CD (Sega-CD, 1993)
- Sonic R (SS, 1997)
- Sonic Spinball (GG)
- Sonic The Hedgehog 2 (GG, 1992)
- Sonic & Tails 2 (GG, 1994)
- Sonic Drift 2 (GG, 1995)
- Tails Sky Patrol (GG, 1995)
- Tails Adventures (GG, 1995)
Ugh. Most of them are Game Gear games. Sonic R and Sonic the Fighter are cool, but I really wanted Supersonic the Hedgehog. The PC version (if there is one), had better get it. Mouse control would work well for the trackball gameplay.

Just the idea of Virtua Fighter+Sonic makes me happy in the pants!
Its the best thing since, Virtua MONKEY KNIFE Fighter!

I'm pumped about StF, too. Sounds like a neat game.
I'm going to wait it out. Maybe they'll release a "plus" version for Xbox and PS2 that has Segasonic?
Foolish optimism on my part, I guess. :(

if you're worried about the controller, you could just import one of those Saturn controllers for the PS2 and get a $5 convertor to use it with the cube.
although I don't know how much those controllers cost

I have one of those. I bought it from NCSX when they first came out. They're very awesome.

The SoR trilogy was taken out of the U.S. release for those interested. Personally I'm not interested in purchasing any of these compilations as I always feel like it's a rip. It's either the original for me or free via emulation...

I might pick it up just for Sonic Championship (fighters).
But I might not. I never did get my money back on the preorder I placed for the Saturn port that never came out.

Well, I played it! (only Sonic the Fighters), and I have nothing to say, but VERY VERY IMPRESSIVE! I also got Nintendogs, which is awsome, just slow paced.

I'd say Vicman's made it very clear that he doesn't hate Nintendo, so I'm thinking it'd be for the best if those kind of comments just stopped.

Dude what you're doing is trolling. Why not quit instead of repeating the same BS as before? You do know that purposely baiting fellow posters is against the rules, right?
As for my stance on Nintendogs, it's not a really a "game" IMO, it's a virtual pet simulator. I, personally, have no interest in it at all. If you have fun playing your tamagotchi of the 00's and picking up digital doggy doo-doo then that's great. I'd rather play Ridge Racers or Beyond Oasis on my PSP while I poop instead. :P

it's actually less of a simulator, and more of a game then you think.
Yes, I love Ridge Racers on the PSP, but I can see myself playing Nintendogs for atleast a year, and I thought this game looked lame when I first saw it, but now it's quite a fun (and relaxing) time killer!

StRiDA, please just let it go.
I was at EB today and was mulling over whether or not this would be a worthwhile purchase. ...ehh, didn't go for it. I'm well into game compilation burn-out.. unless Konami releases a superb Castlevania collection, I don't think I'll be supporting these profiteering endeavors by purchasing the game new upon release. Used? Possibly.. some of the Game Gear Sonics do have their charms.

I'm sorry but your childishness is making this forum not as fun to come to anymore. I don't know how many times you need to be told to stop the trolling before your banned. No one is finding it funny but you.
