Could the Sega CD handle it..Just use the Rage in the Cage Engine..But how many wrestlers could fit..

Bah! They fit 20 wrestlers and those FMV's, but they cut out every mode that involved more than two wrestlers at a time!

I would trade in the 3-tone FMV's for a Royal Rumble mode and tag match anyday!

(I guess it'd be cool, but I haven't watched wrestling in a year, so it'd be useless to me personally)

Good thing this will never happen.
In the new millenium, Wrestling has gone down the drain. Those new wrestlers just donīt have the charisma of the good old days, and the storylines lack that comic-charm. I was a HUGE wrestling fan, I could tell all titleholders of the WWF from the 70īs on... and the month they won the championship. I was at 4 or 5 live events, Iīve seen Hulk Hogan, Ric Flair, Bret & Owen Hart, the British Bulldog and the maniac murderer Chris Benoit live...but when Vince McMahon started wasting time by giving 30 minute interviews at the beginning of every RAW-show to say something like "you will get a title shot, but you must kiss my ass!" I got bored. The last great time of Pro Wrestling for me was the nWo (in the beginning at least).

Even my old heroes lose their glory...
Ultimate Warrior talking ultra-patriotic crap like an american Nazi
British Bulldog dying of heart attack because of medication overuse
Chris Benoit murdering his family
1-2-3-Kid and Chyna making porn
Scott Hall having alcohol problems
Mr Perfect dying because of drugs
Lex Luger being an alcoholic

Whatīs the world coming to...?

Face it, unless you are a poor redneck, pro wrestling is dead. Im adding it to the list of things that are dead to me.

Wrestling games have always sucked.

I've been a wrestling fan since the late '90's "Monday Night Wars" boom period, and I find your statement very offensive, Mr. Wagging-Finger-Hedgehog-Avatar........Man!

But yes, pro wrestling is definitely removed from its fantastic boom period during the late '90's up until 2001-2002ish. But it still has a somewhat healthy fanbase, unlike the early-mid '90's recession that the industry suffered in which the product and its public reputation were reduced to an absolute joke.

Oh, and wrestling games are MUCH, MUCH better today than they were during Acc-Lame's series of late '80's-mid '90's wrestling fare. In many a wrasslin fan's eyes, AKI's N64 wrestling titles (WCW World Tour & Revenge, WWF Wrestlemania 2000 and No Mercy) still stand as some of the if not the best wrestling games ever. And I kinda agree. Tons of fun, and easy to play.

I probably haven't liked any wrestling games just because I'm so biased against wrestling. It's just ridiculous. How can people take two guys pretending to hit each other so goddamn seriously??

Do you like action movies? It's the same exact thing: brainless entertainment.

Pro Wrestling is dead in my mind. I watched it as a kid during the Hulk Hogan/Ultimate Warrior days, but I stopped watching for years until the Monday Night Wars. Once WCW folded I stopped watching again as the new characters were simply uninteresting.

WWF No Mercy was one of the best fighting games of all time, and it is still one of the top wrestling games in video game history.

I love brainless entertainment! I was playing Surgical Strike on Sega CD just the other day.

I guess the pro wrestling brand of brainless entertainment just never appealed to me.

When I was young I watched WWF from the late eighties to around 94-95ish. Then I just kind of forgot about it(thank god). Later I would see all these crappy new characters who had nothing on dudes like brutus the barber beefcake etc, who were at least origional andhilarious. I loved Paul Bearer man. Recently after having heard nor seen wrasslin for ages i happened to see a bra n panties match! Thats got me interested again. I won't actually watch any shows, but you tube has some nice stacy Keibler highlights that make my eyes pop out. They should just get rid of the dudes all together and make it like dead alive. Thats what it would take to get me back.
