I have a number of game saves saved on the built in memory of my Sega CD ver. 2 and the same saves are copied to my Sega CD RAM cart. I can pull up the memory panel and see all my game saves yet I cannot seem to access any of these saves within the games to which they belong (specifically Sonic CD and Corpse Killer 32X).
Any idea how I can gain access to the game saves or should I just format the memories and start over?
TIA.

What happens when you try to copy these files to the internal memory?

Some games do not support loading game saves from the carts. You MUST copy them to internal memory, as suggested by Psy.

All these saves are on both internal and the cart. The games don't recognize any of the saves regardless of where they reside.
I deleted the save from the internal memory in Sonic CD and played a couple levels and saved. The new save was there and I could pick up where I left off. The old saves must be corrupt or something but the memory manager inside the game and on the console could see the saves, I just couldn't get the game to make use of them.
The Corpse Killer save isn't even recognized by the game's memory manager tool though I can see it in the system's memory manager. Looks like I need to start over. Not a big deal in Sonic, but the Corpse Killer save was pretty deep into the game and it was hard to have gotten as far as I had.

In Sonic CD, isn't there a button in it's memory manager to tell it to USE the save, otherwise it will ignore it?

If you have a save the opening menu has both "new game" and "continue" options with "continue" being the default that appears first when the game boots up.
Inside the game's memory manager is a button used to indicate which save you want to use in the event you have multiple saves. If multiples exist and no indication is made one way or another, the game will default to the lowest numbered save.
I only had one saved file in Sonic CD. The file was either bad or it was simply a save of the very beginning of the game.

You really shouldn't have the same saves on both the cart and the internal storage, as it may confuse some games. Also when you play them, it's not going to update both, only one or the other.
