I thought this was a rather interesting find while I was browsing ebay for genesis stuff, a sega genesis and sega cd dev kit built into one shell. item # 320203447708

does anyone know anything about this system? the odd thing is, it seems to be setup to output in a pal signal but also looks to have region switches on the front. too bad it doesn't come with the dev software as well, it would be very cool to own though.

That would be the owner, and apparently seller.

It was auctioned off at CGE. I believe they said it originally belonged to Virgin Games or something.

I'd love to toy with one of those, but I'd have no earthly idea where to start.

What's the deal with the dip switches?
I honestly have no clue. I managed to figure out a way to get this thing to boot in Japanese mode, but a few people have actually told me to NOT do it, since I could break the system.

Haha. Sega's devious little way of saying 'hee hee hee, fuck you' to importers.
